Well - It is uphill-ish, but only just :)

A good test of an ebike's climbing ability & range is Padstow to Newquay, along the coast-road, although I usually do it t'other way round, so I can pootle along the Camel Trail, pausing at Treats on Trikes, to Grogley Halt, then up through Ruthern Bridge & Tremore Bridge, home to Roche.
That sounds like a nice ride I think I will give it a try

I'll look out for you - I'm usually to be found beetling along somewhere in the bit of God's own County between Padstein, Perranporth, the Roseland & Jamaica Inn.

Is your bike the green & black?

I always wear a skateboard-type helmet with a red peak & my backpack wears a hi-vis vest.

Be sure to shout if our paths cross :)

As said 3 years ago bike component spec isn't great for the money and the behind seat battery placing is old hat.

It's still available managed to put one in my cart then deleted it.
Better off looking at Kudos or Woosh for a similar bike.

How strange, I've tried in Chrome and IE but I still don't see the add to cart button. Yet some of their other bikes have the button.

Where are you seeing the button?

On the rhs of the page as normal in the yellow add to basket pane. I'm using W10.
With Chrome you need to select the bike on amazon to be directed to the buy page.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B012NOWM1A/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Seems like you have made up your mind to buy !!! Before doing so look at the Woosh Rio with 25% more battery range as they do offer very good CS and are very active on the forum.

I was going to say exactly the same. It looks not bad for £1000, but if you buy a Kudos or Woosh, you get full support from respected forum member/traders. How much price or value can you put on that?

Sorry, i've confused myself and you lot!
The comments about the missing buy button refer to this bike - http://www.all-about-the-bike.co.uk/oxygen-s-cross-st--step-through-electric-bike-8857-p.asp
For some reason I thought it was recomended earlier but I think I got my threads crossed.

With reference to amazon bike, I saw it on amazon and started doing a bit of digging which turned up this fourum and thread.
I was asking if anything had changed over the 2/3 years as it didn't look like it had, same figures and same price. Strange I thought.

I'm will be moving to Aus in Nov and am wondering about buying to take with me. In general it seems to be cheaper to buy here than doen under.

The link I posted for the ST Cross I realise now is an old link from a search I did, the offer is well expired.

I can't see that it's worth transporting a bike half way round the world. You get there some thing goes wrong, fixing under warranty will be an issue and also the cost of getting it out there.

There are a few Aussie members who post on here, might be worth starting a new thread to canvas what is available and prices down under.

We are taking a 20 ft container with our belongings in, a pair of bikes will make no real difference to the cost.

Are they that unreliable that they often go wrong?

Ah!!! A container no problem then.
Some bikes have niggles so if you buy new worth getting anything sorted early on other wise usually not to much trouble, plus if you are good with the spanners help is always available on here.

Hello
Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm looking at one of these on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B012O3WBBG/

Are they still the same 2 years on?
The only change I can see is that it has a computer now. I sold mine this year uesd it a lot , even on some off road , and it never let me down.

The guy I sold it to up rated the brakes to hydrlic. The only thing I didn't like was the battery behind the seat, makes the frame a bit longer.

I now have a Saracen juiced it has the shimano steps set up with a crank motor, I am very pleased with it but to be fair the Saracen costs a lot more.
