What's going on with Team Hybrid/Falco Motors?

Noticed Team Hybrid are selling off all their entire stock of Falco Motors on eBay.
Are they in trouble or just moving on?

The conclusion of the panel on here was the Falco motor/system isn't up to much.

So they are probably being sold as a job lot because no one wants to buy them individually.

There's a massive thread over on ES, dedicated to Falco e-Motors. I didn't read through it all, but they seem to like the system over there.

I think that there's a rather strong possibility that those that did all the liking were linked to Falco somehow.

Cyclezee did do them for a time. Personally, I think the design isn't bad but too complicated for its own good and way too expensive. Now that the Hybrid Team appear to be pulling out, I don't think the stock is worth anything like £3000 (only 24 new motors, you'll need to import working dongles to use them). Perhaps someone from the Hybrid Team or Falco should come on here and explain to us how to build a bike with the Falco kit.

Just in case somebody doesn't understand/know, they're 5-phase motors, so will only work with the special Falco controller. That's if they work at all. You should only buy them if you first do a deal with Falco themselves to get the necessary support with parts and software. Without that, all you can do with them is strip them down for the scrap copper.

I am not really the one to comment on the Falco saga, I will leave that to Team Hybrid.

They are no longer dealing with bikes, they are now using eZee and Heinzmann motors in their excellent handcycles.

Team Hybrid have a history of changes in what they stock, there never has been consistency over the years. I remember when it was almost all Crystalite.

That's not a bad deal for a nice bike and a battery. When the motor packs up, you can replace it with a BPM and a conventional controller for about £200 and you've stil got a nice bike for your money. If the motor system lasts, you have a steal.

That's what I thought Dave, the bike has quite good spec, hydraulic brakes, air suspension forks, it alone when new costs £399 from Halfords.
The motor on this one works well.
