There's loads of patent chain-lubes that have all soerts of gimmicks to explain why they're better than other ones and also help persuade you to give up your hard earned cash.

For decades now, every chain-driven motorcycle I've had has been fitted with a Scottoiler. I am a thorough convert to the chain oiling belief, but not to Scott's oil refill prices. I found years ago that chainsaw oil, with its anti-fling properties was just as good and a quarter of the price. Funnily though, I've not used it on my bicycle, must remedy that.
