To continue, the altered right hand grip must be trimmed accurately so as to keep the cut parallel to the throttle, which must also be trimmed parallel to the original end. That way you get a neat paralel fit , and the slight gap between the grip and the throttle internal collar remains constant when the throttle is rotated open.
Overall I am happy with the finished job, but it would have looked better if the Ergon grips were black and not just very dark gray, but cant have everything I supose.
I will let you know how the grips feel out on the road when the rain eventually goes off lol.
