hi all happy new year.
I currently have 26" mtb ebike vita uno and am fitting a kit to my 700c wheeled bike
but I am wondering will I notice any difference on hills if trying to compare the 2 bikes

as the gearing is a bit different both use 32 f on mth 700 either 39f or 30f chainrings.
my ebike is the only one I have ever ridden some forum members have multiple bikes.

mtb 3 levels pas 700c has kt lcd3 which can be (adjusted) 5 levels of pas,

idealy I would like to set the kt to be between level 1-2 of mtb to increase range.

thank you

Technically the smaller the rear wheel, the better the mechanical advantage and the better the hill climbing in any particular gear ratio.

Between a 20" wheel and a 27" 700c wheel, that will be noticeable, but the small under 6% difference between your 26" and the 700c wheel has little effect.

Therefore you can discount that wheel size effect. So just go ahead and fit the kit and then trim to the result you want on the LCD. I can't really advise better than that since I don't know what the motor/controller performance difference will be between the Vito and the kit, or even what sort of kit it is.

The kit will probably have a big say in the issue but as Flecc say's depending on the components used also gearing will equally play its paet.My CD mtb's and my 700c Oxy Boardman are fairly well matched for power, however I find the oxy kit on my 700c has the edge as gear change and strain on the drive train is kinder. Todays ride included a non stop climb up to Ditchling Beacon ( using speed setting 1 & assist 4) without having to stand on the peddles the ride down was better though.

On assist level 5, the kit should be about 10% faster than your Vita Uno but that depends also on the tyres of the converted bike. Test the bike and let us know the result.

The kit is more then likely Chinese climbing ability with this kit may well depend on whether the hub is geared or not.

thanks all yes that is the very kit I have 700 rear wheel 250w 36v (wish I could get the hang of posting a link etc) moter looks similar size to my fun 8 on vita uno

its figuring where to run all the wires ,not sure I want the controller in the (bag provided)

a bit off info they do a 27.5 moter wheel but its not on website, and at the end of the month will have some lights which run off the battery ,

You can buy an internal controller for that battery type at BMSBattery. If you don't mount the throttle you won't need the brake cut off so that means less wires.

thank you anotherkiwi I have looked on bms site I assume my battery is the 09 type case and they sell the mounting frame , I can see something called 36v so6s sine wave integrated controller at 50usd.
is this the correct item?
and does this controller fit to the mounting frame but have the 2 pin fitting to suite the battery.

at the monment would like to try full speed throttle,

I bought one yesterday. I need a 17 A controller and it was the tried and true option. I will tune it down from 20 A to 17 in the LCD.

I will have a go at waterproofing the LCD because it has started raining finally and I don't like being stuck at home.

I will have two throttles that I don't need and brake levers too but I will try and recover the switches from them.

Next step buy a battery with an 18 A BMS and more range!
