does anyone on here ride one of these, or even test ridden one? Any thoughts?

Thanks

The Winora Radius is a 20" balloon tyred Yamaha crank drive bike.

Quite rare, although presumably you can get one or you wouldn't be asking.

Good quality bike and components.

I doubt anyone on here has one, but I have an AVE MH5, which is a very similar design, same tyres, Bosch crank drive.

It's a very likeable, handy bike.

Comfort is better than expected, I've done 50+ mile rides on it, but a quality big-wheeled bike will be a bit more comfortable.

I see the Winora is a three-speed, which should be sufficient.

Your location - Shetlands - is known to be up and down but not ludicrously steeply hilly.

The Winora ought to be OK around there, provided you can put in some effort to get the crank motor humming.

Thanks a lot for the resoonse. This was the third of three choices. The price of mudguards has put me off!

I am disappointed to see me last post has been removed. I assumed that this was a place where open and honest discussions could be held. I didn't name the dealer after all.
