Happy New year Andrew, this certainly seems to be a connection issue. I have sent the thread to support who have now returned from their break. I will get back to you tomorrow.

All the best

OK, thanks and a happy new year to you too.
If it was a connection issue then I'd expect the motor to cut out way before the capacity indicator due to the motor drawing far more current and causing more of a voltage drop.
It's as if the BMS is cutting the power before the controller does.

I checked the battery lights on the way home and it still lit three of the four lights when my journey was finished so it shouldn't be a flat battery causing the problem.

Hi Andrew

If you contact Steve or Adrian at support@wisperbikes.com directly they will be able to talk the issue through with you and find a resolution. I don't think it is a battery problem, I am still of the opinion it is a connection issue which is conformed by Support suggesting it is likely to be a lock switch problem. If you need any help in dealing with them please let me know, and of course please keep me informed of the outcome.

Best regards

David

That would make sense as the capacity indicator is switched off when the key is out, if it happens again I'll try turning the key off and on a few times. I'll get in touch with the support guys.
Thanks for your help.

Always a pleasure Andrew!

Please let me know how you get on?

All the best

David :)
Unfortunately I didn't get on, it wasn't a big problem and I wanted to keep going as sending the battery in would cost me a lot in train fares. Anyway it's now showing the same problem when fully charged and it's not the lock at fault, I should have got the multimeter out before and checked it.
Now it's out of warranty I guess I need to dissect the cell pack.
