Wobbly battery

The battery on my Kalkoff has developed some lateral play when locked in position. There seems to be no vertical play.

What adjustments do I need to make and is there a way of stopping the play re-occurring?

The roads round my way are bone shatteringly bad now, which is probably causing the problem.
