Had a few problems with a almost new Sport CD i purchased 12 months ago, and must say I have nothing but praise for Woosh after sales, especially Andrew Hall, who has been more than helpful, both in loaning me a tool to re fix the electric motor which worked lose, and now helping hopefully to resolve a battery problem, by loaning me a brand new battery. His technical knowledge on the bikes is second to none, explaining every procedure in easy to understand language in detail for us non - techies. I can cope with the mechanical bits fairly well, but not the electrical side and he has been excellent with his help. Hoping the battery problem will be resolved with new parts to be fitted next week, and i can then get out and use the bike a bit more. So a big thank you to Woosh, nice to see your customer service is second to none.

Always good to give a company a deserved pat on the back.

But it seems to me woosh aftersales has rather too many opportunities to demonstrate its effectiveness.

I've raised this point with Hatti, suggesting a 'woosh plus' range with slightly better components and, more importantly, better quality control.

My suggestions would cost money, maybe £50 a bike.

Fine as far as it goes, but Hatti's market is very price sensitive.

She has had customers moan at paying an extra £20 for premium delivery, so there is no easy answer.

a good point - it's tricky, i have a santa ana which has also had great service from woosh (replaced battery, greased crank bearings, free, helpful advice), i have a friend with a tasman that's done half the miles and so hasnt had issues yet. i wish i could have woosh support (what i read here re kalkhoff is a bit worrying) in a bike that started life with hydraulic brakes and good quality true wheels. in hindsight though id go again for a woosh - all being equal even outside warranty there is so much more a user can fix him or herslef on a generic bike - with a kalkhoff if the battery goes after warranty period its pretty much terminal

I have read just as many problems on here with the higher end bikes, some of the Kalkhoff battery issues would put me off even if I could afford one. the difference seems to me that things get sorted at the Woosh end.

I have had a Woosh Gale folder for over a year now.
Broke some spokes, (my fault, forgot to undo the chain lock).
Emailed them and had spares by return of post.

Myself i would be willing to pay £50 - £80 more for a Woosh bike with better components, changed the awful zoom disc brakes on mine for some Avid BB5 on front and rear, huge improvement. Not over keen on the gears, but its all down to cost, rest of bike is ok.
