Smart Pie 4 and NMC 24V 20Ah Battery
After considering your advice, I bought a bafang crank drive motor with a bottle attachment battery from Eclipsebikes. These I mounted to a Scott Accent hard tail bike and the result is wonderful. Over 100 miles in 4 days up big hills and down dales. Love it. Thanks

Good idea, I think I'll try and come up with a similar mod. Looks like you have the same setup as me right down to the battery, may I ask a quick question, does the battery sometimes spark when you plug the charger in? Mine has started to do that (it's always off at the wall socket when I plug in) or is there a problem? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the help. Yes it's a long gradient and I'm about 15stone. Would an 8fun crank drive do it. I don't know what a BPM motor is. Sorry for the ignorance
