  3. No need to take it apart., just reverse the wiring to it. Alternatively when testing the switch with the ohmmeter swap the leads over in case the switch is polarity conscious I.e. contains a diode.
  4. Have you tried reversing the switch?
  5. After trying a couple of Cube panniers that did not fit due to the shape of the clips I finally settled on a pair made by Con-Tec from Alpine Trek. These come with the Racktime Snap-it adapter built in. Theses are 33 litre capacity. They seem to be well made and fit perfectly to the Cube carrier with a minimum of fuss.
  6. My Acid panniers have just arrived and sadly despite being assured that they would fit my Cube Racktime carrier, this is not the case. They are supplied with clips that close over a 1cm round bar rather than the triangular section of the Racktime carrier. I have a top bag with fits onto the Snapit adapter so wanted a pannier to attach directly to the frame but no luck so far.
  7. My Cube Acid Traveller panniers should be arriving soon and will post on their suitability. This is my Racktime carrier.
  8. Many thanks, I have the Cube Touring 400 which takes a detachable insert and have been looking for some foa a while.
  9. Be interested to know how you got on and prices.
  10. Looks to me like they are for levelling furniture or such on an uneven floor, would they snap at the indents?
  11. Are they tapered l.e. Wedged shaped?
  12. Worth looking at Datag, provides a visible deterrent especially if the battery is clearly marked as it makes resale more difficult and recovery more likely if the police are involved.
  13. I have put an 18 tooth on, up from 15 and it made a big difference on the flat and building up speed to start a hill climb. No real difference on hill climbs, just occasionally up from eco to touring. Kept the same chain. Highest speed I have hit is 35mph but stopped pedalling! Connex seem to be generally regarded as the best. From other posts creaks can also seem to be transmitted from othe component so check motor mounts etc for correct torque settings. The 18 tooth makes for a much longer legged ride and to my mind should have been the standard fitting.
  14. My interpretation would be that the latter refers to tow bars that bolt to the towbar towplate, leaving the Tow ball free cannot be used with swan-neck etc. I had a detachable Towbar and bike carrier supplied and fitted by Mercedes. Surely if it can tow a caravan, carrying a e-bike is not a problem. Maximum load is rated at 30 kg per rail.
  15. I know it has been mentioned before but the Datatag Stealth Pro seems like it might be a deterrent to the scum who steal to sell on or break up. You can label the frame and all other parts with a label, etching and microdots. See http://www.datatag.co.uk/ Whilst it might not stop the initial theft it could help with a quick recover it it is realised it can't be broken up or easily sold on. I feel a bit of security have all my kit (including the battery!) listed and marked up.
