Does the badass dongle, clock up the correct mileage on the mileometer on the bosch purion computer read out?

Anyone researched the cheapest supplier? I find that I can easily drain this battery in 2 hours cycling hilly Devon,[ mostly turbo & sport]so for a nice day out need a spare. Riding a cube reaction HPA pro 500 29 which fits the bill for me, at K2..
