  1. Hi everyone, Im looking for some help and advice, I have a 2021 haibike sduro hard 7 it's three months old and done 750 miles, the other day whilst riding on a busy road the chain snapped. I could not go and retrieve the chain as it was too dangerous, so I need to replace the chain. Can anyone tell me how many links I need and is it wasted money getting an ebike specific chain?. Ps bike is standard and I live in the flatlands of Norfolk my commute is solely roads and cycle paths so the bike has had no abuse.
  2. just had this issue brand new bike only second charge of the battery bike only done 16 miles, battery won't charge no leds light up. not the sort of reliability you would expect from a bosch unit.
  3. yes seems that the throttle kicks in sometimes without being touched.
  4. Hi thanks for the reply. Yes it does have a throttle and she has it in power level 2 or 3. Just wondered if the controller settings have been altered? Do you know how i check them and what they sould be?
  5. I have recently purchased a used wisper 705 torque for my wife its in immaculate condition only showing 640 miles on the display. However it seems to have a small fault when she uses it it zips along nicely but it then surges in power its not all the time but in sporadic bursts like its giving 80% then 100% power, can anyone suggest what could be wrong and how best to rectify. Shes very pleased with the bike its practical and comfortable and it fits her lifestyle perfectly just we would like to sort out the little niggle.
  6. hello fellow ebikers, i noticed on my way home today that the bike just didn't feel right, on closer inspection i noticed that my rear wheel had rotten out and i can pull some of the spokes out of the rim. Could someone give me some advice on re rimming and e bike wheel, how is the best way, should i use new spokes are there any pitfalls i need to know about before i attempt this. The bike concerned is a cyclotricity stealth 1000w the front wheel is unmarked, i suspect that the green slime that i used to prevent puctures has contributed to the corrosion. Im a fairly competent diy bike mechanic. Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Hi anybody got any news on cyclotricity? Has company gone out of business? I have one of thier bikes and i have been trying to obtain spares for a week. I have tried telephoning and just got 40 minutes of "your call is important to us" on two occasions, i have emailed several times without a reply and also left messages via facebook messenger. Am i flogging a dead horse or is there customer service and aftersales truly that awful.
  8. ok thought as much. or change the controller. thanks for the advice. looks like its either change the kit or bit the bullet and pay cyclotiricty.
  9. ok thanks thats the sort or think im after i only run the bike in 1000w mode any way so not bothered in switching. looks a bit of a pain swapping connectors though. ant way to get to the 1000w power with the cyclotricity controller. does anyone have the correct parameters to set it up.
  10. hi all, i too am in a predicament i have had a problem with the system on my cyclotricity stealth i have replaced lcd1 with an lcd3 and the problem still exists. on inspection i found the controller to be damaged by water ingress. try as i might i could not get full power from the 1000w motor with the lcd 3 and i need a new controller is there a unit compatable with the lcd and cyclotricty motor that is plug and play, a direct swap? or do i have to go back to cyclotricty and buy a new controller and lcd1? any help on this subject would be good also suggestions on the parameter settings too. my kit is kt-lcd3 dash, kt48zwsrl-xfcf01r (mxus-15-04-25-kt) controller and xf40 30h 1506 0088 motor.
  11. thanks for the link i have ordered one ill let you know how we get on.
  12. hi i have a usb port on my bikes battery i would like to run a front light from it so i only have one thing to charge. has anyone done this already?
  13. i checked out a complete outfit from them but then you would be liable for c and e, import taxes and VAT this makes the kit quite expensive.
  14. hi thanks for the reply the reason i need the kit is to convert a carrera crossfire so that i can use it for commuting to work and back (12.5 round trip) and other things such as taking kids out in cycle trailer and general leisurely cycle rides, i live in norfolk so fairly flat. the idea is to sell one of the cars and soley use this to get me to and from work in all weathers as my wife would like to give up work to look after the kids.
  15. i suppose you could build the controller into a hobby box and mount to rear rack
  16. hi i have seen a kit from electricbikeconversions.co.uk on ebay 36v 500w with 13ah l-ion battery, £395, uk dealer looks good anyone have any feedback on this kit? should i go for it or can someone recommend an alternative for a similar price.
