  1. I use a Bewo 48 volt 350 watt motor with an 8 speed Alfine hub from Taylor wheels ,I have been using it for about a year now mostly off road with no problems . I fitted a 2 tooth larger sprocket, the whole kit is fitted into a Rock Lobster frame and is a joy to ride
  2. If you did not want to do Brighton how about part of the SOUTH DOWNS LINK. Could join it anywhere between Guildford and Shoreham
  3. I would be interested in meeting up in Brighton on the 25th. July. where were you thinking of meeting. Mike Barnard
  4. If you remove the drive side bearing you will maybe find that it has got some dust and grit in it,the bearing should float in the bearing housing,it is located by a wave washer, clean it out and apply some Bosch grease,it usually gets rid of clicking and creaking
  5. Hi folks, Anyone fancy riding from Croydon, south London to Paris using the Avenue Vert, doing about 50 miles a day (five to six days) and either returning by train or riding back.I was thinking of early June. Regards, Mike Barnard
  6. It's a 350 watt 48 volt kit running at 16 amp's,I am using a shimano 8 speed hub gear with a 22 tooth sprocket and I find that it climbs off road really well,I have not ridden a BBS kit,but having been a partner in an ebike shop I have ridden a lot of mid drive bikes and find that I like the characteristics of this motor better than a lot of ready to ride mid drive bikes. The reason that I went for the Bewo was,1 there had been a lot of documented evidence of bearing and seal failure on the BBS kits although I believe that this has now been rectified. 2 I like the idea of being able to experiment with alternative controllers 3 I like the way the BEWO clamps onto the frame.
  7. I purchased my kit from pedelease, it is a 350 watt kit with a 48 volt bottle battery,I am running it at 16 amp's but the motor has the ability to run up to 20 amp's, this is programmable using the head unit.
  8. Hi. I have a bewo kit fitted to a rock lobster mountain bike and I love it,it's bomb proof and very programable from the head unit, simple to fit and I like the idea of having an external controller
