Why is a throttle not allowed for hill starts as you know if you try to start peddling up a steep hill with a heavy e-bike it’s murder They could make the throttle to cut out at 5mph

One thing I like about the Bafang is the throttle which manufactures bikes do not have also I have tried the Haibikes and Giant Ebikes with the Yamaha motor and have found them to be sluggish and noisy.

I have tried a few different manufactures E Bike offerings in various guises but I always come back to my Giant Roam Bafang converted mid drive which I think is superior to any E Bike currently available what is your opinion on your E Bike.

I have checked with Giant and they confirm the display can be changed to MPH on 2017 models.

I was looking at reports of 2016 Giant e bike displays only being in kph Can anyone tell me if the 2017 models displays are able to be changed to mph

Yes this is the latest full sus bike 2017 if they can't make a true small size why not be honest and say so. I am disappointed and will have to look at another make which is also disappointing as I have had Giants for over 20 years.

I purchased a Giant Full E + 1 small size this bike is according to Giants geometry chart is suitable for a person 5ft 3 to 5ft 7 I have 3 other Giant bikes all small and all a perfect fit so naturally I stupidly was under the impression that this bike would also suit me I received the bike and tried it for size standing over the top tube in my cycling shoes my feet standing on tip toes over the top tube would barely touch the ground I am 5ft 5. I have had to return the bike at my own expense and am very disappointed I have since studied Giants geometry chart and have found that apart from a longer top tube the Medium and Small sizes of this model are identical.

Yes I do agree that an ebike makes an efficient mode of transport but for pleasure cycling the world just goes by a bit too fast.

I have an ebike a Bafang mid drive converted bike. At first I was never off the bike but just recently I have had a tendency to ride my pedal powered bikes finding them to be more relaxing while also getting a bit more exercise. So do ebikes take the fun out of cycling what do you think ?

Sorry David its apparently a mistaken assumption on my part as I did not know all the facts.

I think we have had dealings with the same person the way you are describing him. I purchased a bike back in may this year and my problem is still ongoing so I would not expect a speedy conclusion I just goes to show you cannot trust Reviews to be truthful and honest. Good Luck

May I ask is he based near to a famous Army Barracks

At the moment I have an 18 sprocket on the Alfine and 46 chainwheel 700c wheels I have not yet tried it out yet as I am waiting on parts. The bafang is a 500 watt 36 volt

I might add that I purchased the bike over the phone and not through the companies website I was never given any Terms and Conditions either before or after the sale
