Oxygen eMate mtb for sale
selling my Oxygen eMate mtb. It is in very good condition and full working order, it is just about two years old and has been well loved, the battery has been kept in the house through the colder months and charged regularly, only used for leisure so not covered that many miles. It's got some extras on it including mudguards, pump, lights and handlebar stem riser and gel seat for a more relaxed riding position (I had to extend the cable for the computer for the riser) See more info here http://www.all-about-the-bike.co.uk/oxygen-e-mate-mtb-electric-bike-13-amp-24-months-interest-free-7994-p.asp I'll post some better pictures over the next few days. Still not entirely sure I can part with it, but moving to non electric.. I'm looking for £800 ono, I'm based near Stamford, Lincs. Close to the A1. Paul

Oxygen MTB stem riser
Hi, I've been away from ebikes for a while, but the offer on the Oxygen MTB tempted me back in, have to say loving this bike, would definitely recommend it. Anyway, decided to fit a handlebar riser to get a bit more comfortable riding position, the problem is I can't go quite high enough due to one of the lcd display cables not being long enough. It's not too bad but it's just stretching it a litte at full lock one way. So, wondered if anyone knows if (and from where) I can get an extension for the cable, it has a round connector in it with multi pin. It would only need to be a few inches in length. Thanks. Paul

Well that's interesting as I was sure I'd seen it on the juicy website, it was a cheaper price for juicy owners, but can't find it now..

Juicy bike classic - needs new battery
Hi, We are selling our Juicy Bike. It's a step through Classic in cream. It's in good condition with a few marks here and there, the most notable is a scrape on the 'crossbar' , we touched it up with as closer match to the paint as we could find but its quite obvious, but not rusty.. See picture It also needs a new battery as its dead, not sure if it needs a new one or if it could be a fuse or something? I think you can pick up a new one for around £150 - £200 Anyway I'm open to offers on this, I think if the battery is fixed or replaced it would make a good bike for someone. We are based near to Stamford, Lincs only around 5 mins from the A1. Please see my other advert for my Wisper Alpino that I'm also selling. Thanks, Paul

Wisper 906 Alpino
Hi, I'm selling my beloved Wisper. I've had it for a couple of years from new. It's in very good condition, including the battery that has been kept indoors and charged. It hasn't done that many miles as its only been used for leisure. I'm looking for offers around £750, it cost around £1800 new I think. I'm live near to Stamford, Lincs. About 5 mins from the A1. Please see my other advert for a Juicy bike that I'm also selling. Thanks, Paul

Wisper 905SE
I'm selling my Wisper, I've loved having this bike, but upgrading to a 906 Alpino :-) I bought it new in June 2009, its the se model (high mudguards, no rack). It has the more recent front junction box and its the 14ah model. It's in excellent condition, I've probably done around 1000 miles on it, the battery has been kept charged/indoors during the winter. I'm guessing the range would be around 30 miles flat out, it was nearer 40 when new, lots more on pedelec! ( I'm around 16st). I'll test the range in the next few days. I'm looking for £650ono, I'm based in Stamford, Lincs. Test rides welcome

Cycle to work opportunity
I think there are ways around this though, like buying the bike for £1000 and battery separately.

Cycle to work opportunity

Cycle to work opportunity
Hi, I've just realised i'm eligible for cycle to work scheme. I currently own a 3 year old Wisper 905SE, which I love, but I'm thinking of upgrading. So here are my options: Wisper 906 Alpino Really like the look of these, but Seem expensive and don't think they are being made any more. Wisper 905 Classic The old trusty, but a bit boring to go from my 905 to another? Oxygen Emate These look like the 906 Alpino, at the 905 price. They look good, but not sure they have the backup/reputation of wisper kalkhoff Probably the Agattu or Pro connect. These get so many good reviews i'm tempted, but think I may miss the throttle, they're expensive and not sure suppliers will do cycle to work scheme. So, there it is. Any thoughts gratefully received also on suppliers who will do cycle to work. Thanks, Paul

Fell off my Wisper
Thanks everyone. Its a 2009 model, and i did get straight back on as i had 18 (wobbly) miles to do to get back home later that day I wondered if i could straighten it, might give that a go as first, if not will call Wisper as I believe the supplier I used no longer sell them. Thanks, Paul

Fell off my Wisper
Fortunately only hurt my pride :o All happened very quickly, pedal hit floor as i turned back on to cycle path after crossing the road and I was off! After a quick look round to check no one was around I was back on and on my way That's when i realised something felt wrong, sort of wobbly. On further inspection, thankfully it turned out only to be a bent pedal arm on the other side to the chain ring. Certainly made me think though and made me feel like I was 5 years old again with my grazed knee. Anyway, anyone know where to get a replacement arm from, is it a standard size? Thanks, Paul

Juicy bike classic front chain ring advice please

Juicy bike classic front chain ring advice please
Hi, My wife rides a juicy bike classic and is generally very pleased with it, however she finds it a bit too low geared, finding that the pedal assist tends to take all the load even in top gear, unless she 'spins' like crazy. When I compare it to my Wisper, it looks like a significantly smaller front chain ring, so I wondered if I could change the one on hers to a bit bigger one. Would anyone be able to tell me if these are standard fittings or not and either way where would be the best place to buy one from. Many thanks, Paul

Sunday morning bike ride
Had a fantastic ride on Sunday morning. I needed to see how my battery is fairing as the warranty is about to expire and I noticed a significant drop in performance after the first year. Anyway, I set off from home to do the Rutland Water circuit. It was a fantastic ride, left home at around 6.30am. It was really interesting how the warmth from the sun was gradually increasing. Took about 2 hours and 25 miles. Heres the GPS Link The battery still had some life in it, but was definitely getting low (one green light on battery) and wasn't pulling hard. Do you think this is normal? Its the 14ah version. Paul

Wisper seat post
Thanks, its not too bad and I find it generally quite comfy, just a shame that it seems to be getting worse. Will have to see about a replacement at some point I guess. Paul

Wisper seat post
Hi, I've started to notice a bit of a twist on the suspension seat on my Wisper, it probably only twists a few mm either way, but its quite annoying.. Anyone know how to fix this? Looks to me like there is a white plastic hexagon shaped piece inside the tube? Thanks, Paul

Cycle route recommendations
Hi brigaf, Thanks for those - you're obviously a local. I actually live in Gt Casterton and familiar with the routes you suggest in fact, the barnack, southorpe, castor, ferry meadows is my route to work - don't do it every day I hasten to add!! Thanks though - if you find any others let me know.. David - thanks, had planned to go on Friday, but it came wet, never mind those 'sppoky tunnels' will wait.. Paul

Cycle route recommendations
Thanks for those. I actually follow national cycle route 63 to get to work in Peterborough. I'd been looking at the Market Harborough to Northampton route earlier this evenming, looks really nice, although the wife isn't keen on 'the marvellously spooky Oxenden tunnel (please use your lights)'. Still looking like favourite though. Yes, have done Rutland Water plenty of times, actually is surprisingly rough tracks in places. I do like the idea of parking at Uppingham and doing eyebrrok etc.., there are some nice villages out there, the old white hart at Lyddington is fantastic for special occasion meals. I guess Old Timer is the expert for Norfolk, we were at Hunstanton with the kids on Monday. Thanks again, beginning to think the book isn't necessary... Paul
