  1. thanks for the link, I saw it yet the main concern is the installation seems complicated compared to go-e. I know that they are not ideal but at least you can remove them easly and use the bike as a normal bike. Still not decided between the two or even something else. thanks again
  2. I am not sure if I am brave enough will see, at the moment go-e looks as it is very simple to install comparing to add-e, and without any damage to my bike if I hate it and would like to remove it. but not sure yet
  3. Thanks Grebee. I sent this company email but no response. Then I come across this which seems very interesting, any thought? http://www.bimoz.ch Thanks
  4. What about this conversion, it seems suitable for Dahon bikes, not sure, any one try them? It is only 3.5kg including battry, thanks http://m.freedomebikes.com/Kit-for-Brompton--Dahon--Tern.html
  5. Hi All I found this very light weight new bike, only 14kg and 20", any one heard about this supplier before, is it a good bike? http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk/electric-bikes/folding-electric-bikes/opia-by-dillenger.html Thank you
  6. thanks Anotherkiwi, but it will already add more than 5kg, not sure if it is to fit. Thanks
  7. thanks Geebee, looks nice, but not very keen to export directly from china.
  8. Sorry I did not get, do you have a solution which will come up soon ? thanks
  9. It looks intresting but cost £2500 ?
  10. Thanks Anotherkiwi, I did and the estimate was for 9ah battery was around £750 and with delivery charges will be £850 as no one near by doing that. I also was thinking to buy Brompton with nano conversion but the cost will be around £1850-£1950. I am not sure whether it is a good idea or perhaps better to wait for the NEW Brompton ekectric bike (not sure when it will come). So as I have no experience in fitting electric conversion I thought the above kits may be easier to fit and can transform my Dahon to even much better bike. Thanks again
  11. Thanks Cricket and KudosDave for all your input and sorry for the late delay. My head is swing around all ebikes, kudos secert still an option but I am still keen to find the light weight bike, so at the moment I am looking for other options, see please my new thread http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/add-e-go-e-or-hidden-power-kit.25519/ Thank you all again
  12. Hi all, this is a great place to find information about ebike, thanks all in advanced. I was looking for light weight ebike (folding) but it seems what I am looking for is not there. So I was thinking to go for the converting route. First I have Dahon vitess D8 which I love, so I am thinking to convert this or even buy Brompton and do the same. For Brompton I found information about nano kit but I have also been told that it will weight around 17kg so not light anymore. I found the following websites which offer attactive solution either for my Dahon or if I buy Brompton, but I have no idea which one is the best or whether they are good for what I want. Also I would like to be able to fit it myself (no experience what so ever). I only need an ebike for 5-10mils on full charge but some hills around. Thank you http://www.add-e.de https://go-e.bike/en/ http://www.hiddenpower.eu
  13. Thanks Cricket, yes it seems not an easy decision. I will try the kudos secret and may be halfords coyote commute folding ebike as they seem similar , would you mind if I ask which bike you have (I mean the one you are talking about). Thank you
  14. So it seems that it is less powerful than yours, it will not be all 10 miles hilly of course but with this less powerful motor can do any hills?, would yours do hills if so how does it feels. I may need to forget about weight then. Thank you
  15. Thanks KudosDave, could you please let me know how I can contact you about this. Thanks
  16. Hi all, thanks all for your help. I found a very light ebike only 10kg, I was wondering if anybody try it before or even heard about it, it costs about £1000. 17. Do you also sell ex demo K16? how you can buy or ask for more information. thank you
  18. Thanks Anglenorth for your help. it seems looking for the prefect ebike not an easy task. thanks
  19. thanks Anotherkiwi, wooshbikes seems to have all large battery but I will look around. thanks again
  20. Thanks Anotherkiwi This sound great if really possible (and in reasonable price), I notice kits may cost £500-£700 which is a price of a new bike. I must admit I am in love with my Dahon (very nice and easy to ride). Any suggestion for good kit? As I mention I do not need a huge battery, need it only for short commute but powerful enought to do the hills. Thank you
  21. Thanks KudosDave, I will look if there is any local shop stock them so I csn try both. I am not really going to use bus or train with my bike, I only want to be able to lift it in/off my car occasionally. thank you very much
  22. Hi Anglenorth If the weight is not the only factor, would you recommend any of the bike above, or simething totally different? Thanks
  23. Thanks Anglenorth, I would like to be able to folded in / out of the car occasionally but also smoothly. KudosDave, thanks, yes I looked at K16 but I was not sure how small SINGLE gear can do steep hills? Sarah
  24. Hi there I am a female (not very fit really) looking for a light weight ebike. I am new to ebike world, and had no experience on all kinds of spec. etc. So your help will be very appreciated. I live in a hilly town, coummute distance to work is rather short (less than 10 miles in total) but hilly. I did a lot of research but I cannot really find what I am looking for, any suggestion please. First I ordered Halfords Coyote Connect Folding Electric, but then I cannot lift in / out of the car (very heavy) so I had to return it, and I got Dahon vitesse folding bike which I am very happy with but yet it is not electric and I have to go off the bike on every hill. I am flexible on budget however going over £1000 means the bike will be more attractive for theif given that I want to leave it outside when I go to my office. It seems that it is diffcult to find lightweight ebike, so what I found so far Cyclotricity Wallet Folding Electric bike < 17kg. cost £899 Tesco hopper eclub folding electric bike about 19kg cost £450-500 (I found out that this may be less powerful but can still do hills?) halfords coyote commute electric bike about 19kg cost at the moment £640 kudos secret about 19kg cost £765 woosh bikes are much heavier (and not the prettiest so I exclude them from the list) I thought about conversion kit however as I have no idea about ebike I will not be able to do it myself and it seems very expensive, but I am open to suggestion if it will offer me the more efficient and light weight I am looking for. Need your help. Thank you
