Bosch battery recell
Thanks for the replies folks. Does anyone know if you can directly replace a Bosch frame mounted 400 WH power pack battery from 2015 with a 500 WH one? They seem to be the same size physically. Cheers John

Bosch battery recell
Sorry, probably being thick here but where do I find the link? (I’m using an iPhone) Cheers John

Bosch battery recell
Hi Guys, Not been around here for a while - is there anyone that does a recell of Bosch electric bike batteries? Cheers John

E Bike insurance

E Bike insurance
We have household insurance with Esure and the premium for £4,000 of e-bikes (2) was £14.28. Excess is £200. Compare the market had 'new' Esure policy £120 cheaper than the renewal quote I had from them - when I rang they cancelled the renewal and gave me the 'new' policy price. I thought that was pretty good!

Bosch Battery Capacity
That's good to know Nealh - I was thinking it should be possible to 'hide' any damage with stickers or something similar. Cheers Kendalian

Bosch Battery Capacity
Ah right - I get it now! Cheers Kendalian

Bosch Battery Capacity
Thanks for this vfr400. When you say the case wouldn't look as nice after re-celling is that because it would be damaged when opening? Don't you just undo the 6 screws and open it? Cheers Kendalian

Bosch Battery Capacity
Hi Folks, I have a Bosch 2nd generation 400wh "Powerpack" battery and have been musing as to what capacity I could get if I had it recelled. Extra capacity would be useful for longer outings when abroad with the campervan. Clearly you can get 500wh in there as the 500wh battery has the same case - but can you get more capacity by putting better cells in? Has anyone done this? I will give Insat a call next year if I decide it could be worthwhile, in the meantime I would be interested to see if others have increased capacity with better cells. Cheers Kendalian

Top Service From Woosh!
Last year I converted my wife's Trek bike with a XF08 CST rear hub kit from Woosh. A couple of weeks ago my son was riding it when it just died - the LCD wouldn't turn on. After carrying out various tests and following an e-mail to Woosh I sent the LCD and battery controller back to Woosh. Within a couple of days of them receiving it I had a message to say a new controller was being sent out to me free of charge. I received it today, fitted it and everything now seems to be ok. Thanks to Andy at Woosh for the excellent and prompt service - especially as the controller was out of warranty by a few months (though it had only done a few hundred miles, though never in the rain). Kudos Secret
I would contact Kudos direct to see what they have to say. https://www.kudoscycles.com/ Nice looking folder. I have a non-folder with 20" wheels (Orbea Katu) and it rides really well. Cheers

E-Bike Insurance
I added my £2,400 bike to my Esure household insurance for £70/year. Cheers Kendalian

Desperate!
Or the Orbea Katu-e. I have an e20 and think it is great. 20" wheels are no problem, comfortable and rock solid - though unlike Jonah i've only had mine to 36mph downhill in France! Kendalian

Brake Cut Off - do I need it?
Ah - great, thanks for this. I really am impressed with the performance of the motor, and the support from you guys! Cheers Kendalian (John from Cumbria)

Brake Cut Off - do I need it?
Thanks to Tony at Woosh I have ironed out all the issues with fitting the kit - most problematic was the pedal sensor/magnet ring combination. With hindsight it would have been much simpler to replace the bottom bracket to enable the simpler left pedal sensor to be fitted. I fitted both brake levers with cut off as recommended by most on here. The rear hub motor is amazing - it really takes off in max assist - better than my Bosch centre drive bike! The main thing is the wife is happy!! The instructions for the King Meter leave a bit to be desired - specifically how do you get it to show the speed and distance units in mph or kph? Mine shows no units at all. Also how do you switch between k and m? Cheers Kendalian
