  1. Or make sure it runs out at the highest point of the ride!!
  2. I've not noticed that issue on my similar Cube.. Were you running the lights off the battery? - using the button on the Intuvia display (having had said button activated!) or were your lights independent.? (I also assume you've not gone into KPH ?!) If the little magnet has shifted a little on the back wheel then perhaps it's causing a poor signal at low speeds.. Not sure how the Intuvia processes it's signal but it wouldn't do any harm to check that the contacts are clean and making a good contact...
  3. They must have released a recent upgrade to that B road !?
  4. Was that because you were doing the main climbing up into the hills initially? I find my 5 'battery capacity bars' go down pretty steadily.. Normally I have 2 or 3 bars left in my 500WHr battery but I've run it right down a couple of times on particularly long rides..
  5. What did you do in the end Sharon? Did you have enough range or did you find a friendly pub?! The regular charger is about the same size and weight as a drink bottle.. My plan for a long ride next June (with 18 hours of daylight!) is to pack the charger in my rucksack and stop half way along the South Downs Way for a long pub lunch and battery top up!! There's no cost outlay compared to buying another battery and it's a lot lighter than borrowing someones battery to carry with me.
  6. Well I have much more fun at trail parks on my Cube Stereo Hybrid than I do on my regular MTB.. I watched this video expecting the dedicated bike journos to shoot e-bikes down in flames. So the fact that they recognised their merits spoke volumes to me.. I've found that it took a few rides to modify my technique and get the most out of the bike.. Now I spend the same amount of time at the likes of Swinley Forest but rather than just doing the blue and the red then heading home with spent quads, I now lap the whole thing twice and go home having added a cerebral workout and with the whole of my body spent rather than just my quads!! Or when at a more rugged venue like QE Park - after a particularly enjoyable section of descent I drop it onto the grannie cog and just pedal straight back up the fall-line and do the section again. (much to my mate's envy!!) :-) I've now convinced 3 riding mates to make the switch on the proviso that (having sold their regular bikes to fund it) we'll occasionally leave the batteries behind and pedal round manually.. Then, all being in the same boat, it wont matter that we're a few percent slower up the hills.. Though I know full well that they'll soon realise that it isn't 'cheating' having battery assist and that if you still put in your legwork it just allows you to cover twice the distance at twice the average speed - with all of the ride being fun, not just the downhill sections..
  7. I use the NeoGuard, it works a treat. You can get away with quite small ones - I use a 'S'mall on my 140mm forks and an XS on my old 120mm hardtail.. Then a visor on my helmet that I pull down more when following my mates..
