  1. My as new ucl 10 is for sale due to my disability where I cannot pedal for more than a minute or 2. I am looking to sell this one and repurchase a 500 watt bike with a throttle control etc. The ucl10 is genuinely in an as new condition , I have replaced the dutch handlebars with straights but the dutch will go with the bike as well when sold. The whole unit bike , battery etc is only a few weeks old to me as I purchased it from a shop where it was a demonstration model. In absolute perfect order see photos. I am looking for £550 or an extremely near offer. I still have the original packing and box which I can use for YOUR carrier company. The bike can be seen and tested in Gimingham North Norfolk. The bike has full size mudguards , front and rear lights , chain guard , good tyres , reflective wheels and pedals , double legged stand , see ucl10 specs online. Please contact me via the forum or phone 07979516033.
  2. Thanks for the input guys. I have looked at the tranz controller and there is no facility for a throttle. Every input is in use with nothing spare. I will try to use an easy fit PAS kit on the rear wheel and connect it to the pas wiring that already exists. I will use the cut out brake to shut the motor off until I can fit another cut. If this adaption doesn't work for me I will buy a conversion kit but then will need to adapt or make up a battery connector (easy but I hate having loose wires anywhere). At least I will only have to pedal a little to bring the motor into use but not have to keep pedalling. II realise this is not legal although converting a normal bike to an assisted bike you can have a throttle , weird laws. If I have to buy a kit I will upgrade to 500watt with new 26" wheel inclusive.
  3. Thanx for that d8veh its a job for Monday I will take the controller off and have a good look round. The battery looks as though it has 4 connections but I will see when I take the controller off , see photograph.
  4. My UCL10 uses a tranz 36v pannier battery with what seems to be their own controller. Has anyone got a wiring schematic or colour coding for this. Its all fitted on an ebco ucl10 250watt. In fact being a novice to electric bikes , is there a standard wiring colour code for all the bits and bobs.
  5. My idea was that I wouldn't have to keep pedalling to keep the motor running. Once the bike is moving the PAS sensor would activate from the front/rear wheel and I then wouldn't need to pedal at all. My problem is that my lungs are really bad and the slightest exertion and I am gasping for breath. There is a kwik fit pas sensor by Panda bikes that would save having to strip down the crank , so I can still use the original sensor but move the magnets. We shall see.
  6. what is the motor power , is it a 250 or 500 watt , is there a hand throttle as well as the pedelec.
  7. I use an ebco UCL10 . Super bike until I can hardly pedal any more as I am now disabled. There is no throttle fitted as standard so I am looking for a way to engage the motor without pedalling or at least with very little effort. Can I move the pas sensor and ring onto the front or rear wheel so to activate the motor I then would use the brake cut out to shut down the motor. Any advices PLEASE. I can be mailed at: norfolkpunch1@aol.com
