  1. Hi, can I add cobble stones to the list. Just got back on my bike after having my shoulder reconstructed, 9 screws and titanium plate. Lost front wheel on cobble stone and landed on my elbow shattering my shoulder. All well now and back on bike after 4 months.
  2. Hi, some pics from last weekend in the Carneddau mountains, lovely day.
  3. Thanks DC, good read. I'll try and change my braking habits when I get up on the mountains tomorrow........cheers
  4. Thanks for all the advice guys, just Googled MTB braking techniques and it does look as if i'm too reliant on my rear brake. I will see if my new pads are any better and also adjust the way I brake. ......cheers
  5. Cheers Soundwave, I'll look into sintered pads, as you can probably tell I'm pretty new to all this, so all advice gratefully received. .......cheers
  6. Hi LeighPing, sorry thrown the old pads but could take a pic of the new spare pads I have got if u want.
  7. Hi again, my technique must be way out if you only use rear brake 10% of the time, I probably use it 80% of the time. Scared of losing grip on the front wheel or worse going head first over the handlebars. I'll have to have a re-think......cheers
  8. Not sure what type of pads the were, just came with the bike. I'm quite a heavy chap at 100 kg and all my rides are up in the mountains, I guess I'll just have to change them regularly.
  9. Sorry about the spelling error in the title......lol
  10. Hi, just wondering, today I had to replace my rear brake pads, they were down to the metal. Only had the bike just over a month is that normal?
  11. Hi Jon, I have a Bergamont e-rextor 6.0 with a 500 battery, range does vary a lot over the ride. But I'm getting at least 40 miles from a full charge in the mountains here. This morning range said 80 miles at the start, I cycled 22 miles on steep forestry roads and range was still 25 when I got home. You can set the purion to miles by the way.
  12. Hi, I was up there this morning, haven't done the full trail yet I prefer to go around all the lakes. I did 21 miles up there today, here's a pic from this morning.
  13. Just realised I got the name of my bike wrong in my introduction, it should say it's a Bergamont e-rextor 6.0 with bosch motor.
  14. Hi Danidl, thanks for your reply, I've had no problems since but yesterday I put a Velcro strap around it just in case. I still think it might have been my fault for not making sure it had clicked fully into place, time will tell. Cheers!
  15. Hi again, thanks for the welcome. Hi Leigh, the battery does lock into place and has a key but I'm starting to think it was my fault, as I'm new to the bike maybe I didn't make sure it was sitting correctly. Have been back on the same track and nothing fell off....lol. So I think Gaz and Steve are probably right, I need to check everything is secure before I go out. Nice and sunny here, so I'm off up the mountains again now. Cheers!
  16. Hi I'm Gruff, I live in the Snowdonia national park, North Wales. Just got myself an E-bike 2 weeks ago, so far so good. The bike I bought is a Bergamont Revox 6.0 with a Bosch Performance line motor, ve!ry impressed with it so far. Been up the mountains here almost daily since I've had it, hills are not a problem anymore. Only one small mishap so far, the battery fell off whilst speeding down a very rough track, but all seemed ok when I replaced the battery. I'm not sure if its a design fault or maybe it was my fault. Thanks for letting my join. Cheers!
