1. Are the pinouts on Julet connectors all standardised?
2. Thanks very much for the in depth reply As long as motor cables are compatible I should be good as alll other cables are /came with Lishui/Yose controller, just awaiting the wheel and motor cable to start conversion/upgrade
3. I'm not sure I understand (new to this) How does reducing the controller to 16A reduce the range of the battery
4. Are the pinouts on Julet connectors all standardised?
5. Yes, but I think I will have to wait and see what connections are on the wheel before I order a motor cable (9 pin Julet connector on the controller end) - unless motor wheels are all standard connectors?
6. If all you need are motor cable, Pas sensor & 4 the n 1 cable it might be cheaper to buy separately from Yose accessories page. But if you factor in wheel & motor then you are probably right that a kit would be more cost effective. Left with more parts again but at least you would have some spares I would be interested in stickers when I come put a 350w rear on my Raleigh Pioneer
7. Same here, which is why I wanted just a motor wheel Doesn't say spec on Cyclotrocity site but I'll let you know if there is any paperwork with it On Yose site they list the 15A controller for front 250w wheel and 18A controller for a rear 350w wheel
8. Thanks. It will be going on an old Powabyke Eurobyke 6 which has a full steel frame and forks in place of the original 200w brushed motor on the front
9. Hi I have a question regarding Yose/Lishui controllers I already have a Lishui controller (and associated LCD, PAS etc), for rear 350w wheel I think, as it is MaxCurrent 18A Looking at putting a front motor wheel on from Cyclotricitywhich is 36v 250W https://cyclotricity.com/uk/shop-parts/front-36v-250w-motor-wheel.html Would this controller be OK for this wheel? Thanks in advance
10. Yes, from what I can find the cheapest kit (non-waterproof & standard connectors) from Yosepower seems to be a cheaper option I do have an old Powabyke that I could replace all electrics and just keep the front motor wheel (Eurobyke 200w brushless) and use the leftovers of the cheaper parts that way
11. Thanks, will have a look after work
12. Thanks, but I can't see any 36v 26" or 28" front wheels on there, except in a kit (which I already have everything except the wheel motor)
13. Hi All Looking to get just a front wheel and motor I already have: Yose/Lishui controller C500 Dashi display Pedal sensor Thumb throttle 4-in-1 cable Brake levers/sensors Battery(Hailong 36v on order from Yose Power) Anyone know where I can get just a front wheel and motor? (either 26" or 28" - not decided which bike it will go on yet) Thanks
14. Hi. Is this the same model/type as a Tesco Hopper Shopper? Do you know whether it is 24v or 36v? Do you know if the controller is integrated into the battery mount, or hidden somewhere else? Looking to price up a battery with/without controller and with/without charger for this so as much info about controller, motor etc is appreciated - Thanks
15. No problem. Be interested to see what you have left when you are back at home
16. Yes, sounds like yours was a different model The one I have is a Eurobyke 6 with the controller inside a plastic housing at the top of the downtube(s)
17. More interested how you connected to the original controller pins that the original battery would sit on, but it sounds like you removed the controller from it's original housing? Or is yours the model that had the controller on the handlebars? You don't happen to still have the original plastic battery casing do you?
18. I didn't think you could use a SLA charger on lithium battery and vice versa?
19. What are the 4 wires? Not having looked yet, I would have assumed 2 wires to controller connector The battery box charger point would, I assumed, be the other 2 wires, but that would be defunct for lithium battery?
20. WheezyRider - Have you got a pick of the inside of the box with battery removed?
21. WheezyRider - thats brilliant - I was thinking along similar lines - the bike I have got was spares repair, the batteries are possibly dead (and heavy!), the charger is suspect, and the battery casing is broken and taped together with masking tape - so I was thinking of one of these from Yose Power in a wooden box and using the controller connector from the original battery: https://yosepower.com/products/hailong-2-down-tube-battery?variant=39778406105223 That way I get to maintain original controller and motor (upgrade those later in stages) and also have a battery option for when I convert my Raleigh Pioneer I like the rack with child seat - where did you get that?
22. How did you connect the battery? Was it just a standard 36v 15.6 Ah battery or did you have to find one with a specific criteria for the controller and brushed motor? Assuming you had to buy a matching charger too?
23. Any recommendations where to get a lithium battery that would fit?
