Change LCD display for more speed
It did:) Now the speed limiter is 50 km/h. The bike manages to reach like 32 km/h with no help from the rider under good conditions. In bad conditions with Heavy headwind its more like 27 km/h.

Update, since no one seem to know for sure I decided to give it a try. I ordered a King-meter display yesterday and as soon as it arrives I will try and se if it will bring me the opportunity to change the max speed.

Change LCD display for more speed
Yes, its an LCD. I tried and managed to get to the settings menu. The meter looks very much like this meter: http://www.esonic.lt/manuals/WH527.pdf Only that I can not reach all the settings from the link above. I only manage to reach level och backlighet etc. The other menus with speed settings etc are not available on me display. Is it maby possible that I may reach them if I change the display for a Kingmeter WH527?

Sure, just need to get to the garage first wich will be this thursday.- Change LCD display for more speed
Ok, so this means the display trick might work? Is it a better bet to go with a kingmeter than with the original display for smaller Wheel bike?- Change LCD display for more speed
Sure, here is a pic of the controller I had in my phone. I can fix better pics with the Cables as soon as I get to the garage on thursday. My display looks just like this one: https://www.google.se/search?q=display+ecoride+ambassador&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiVxfCn957aAhWHKiwKHVxvAfIQ_AUICigB&biw=1477&bih=741#imgrc=bgIidmVwpwKPBM:- Change LCD display for more speed
I have tried this and disconnecting them enabels the twist throttle but the speed limit is still there unfortunately.- Change LCD display for more speed
I can not change the wheel size in my display. To change the wheel size I need to order a new dispaly and I just wanted check with you guys first.- Change LCD display for more speed
By the way, here is the link to the partslist if anyone is in need of it: http://ecorideparts.com/- Change LCD display for more speed
Hi, I need your advice on an idea of mine. My pedelec, an Ecoride Ambassador 2016 with 28 inch wheels, is of course restricted to 25 km/h (27 km/h in reality). In the display there is not, at least what I know of, possible to make any settings of interest. I managed to find an online partslist för Ecoride with pretty much all parts on their bikes listed. Here I noticed that the dispaly, they all look the same, has diferent parts number depending on Wheel size. Is it possible that just changing the display to one intended for a bike with smaller wheels would increase the speed? A display för a 26 inch wheels bike would if this theory works increase the speed by about 7%. The Engine is a Bafang and is marked BF1604D10872-1 and I have no idea of the rpm. However it is clearly the speedlimiter the cuts at 27 km/h and not the Engine. Thanx for Reading, I look forward to your adwise.- Remove 15mph speed limiter
Thanx again for the quick and very informative reply! I’ll start with the bike as it is for now. When the time comes for an upgrade i’ll Check back in. Regards!- Remove 15mph speed limiter
Thanx a lot for the answers d8veh! I just disconnected the white cable and it did the job. The 25 km/h limit is now long gone:) Thanx also for the idea on removing the pin instead of cutting the cable so that i didnt ned to cut the cable. For information if anyone is interested the bike now reaches 27-28 km/h instead of 24 km/h and the annoying enginge cutting is gone. Another question, if one would like the reach a bit higher speed, is the best way to go to switch to a 350 w engine? If so, can this be done without changing any other components? Or is there a smarter way to go to reach a little higher speed?- Remove 15mph speed limiter
Also i noticed there are nine cables attached to the engine. This menas that the hubengine has a speed sensor, correct? If so, the white cable is the speedsensor cable? If so again, do i cut this cable to disconnect the speed sensor and will this remove the speedlimit at 25 km/h? Regards, Andreas- Remove 15mph speed limiter
Hi all, I just signed up because of this interesting thread. I have a bicycle that I am very fond of and would not like to charge for another bike. However I would like it to go a bit faster then the 25 km/h where the engine cuts today. Is it possible to remove the speedlimit from this bike? The bike is a Biltema Yosemite City Sport with rear hubengine. Spec is 36v and 250w. The controller is the one in the picture. I have a theory that my isspeedwayen can be solved in two different ways. Ither by fooling the controllerin some way or by removing the speed sensor from the rear hub? And thaughts om this? The panel on the handlebar is as sen on the picture so i beleave it is not possible to hack the speedlimit throuh the panel? Correct? Anyone knows if the controller can be modified to get rid of the speedlimit? Anyone knows if there is a speedsensor in the hubengine? If so what would happen if i removed the magnet so the controller wouldnt know the speed? Very thankful for any help! Regards, Andreas - Change LCD display for more speed
