Can't get the light working on 36v bike. Help :)
Hope you have sorted out the the problem now? Your new controller may be supplying lights with reverse polarity of the old controller, best to check polarity with meter if you can.

Pro connect X24 power fault.
Try putting battery on the battery charger, switch on to wake up the battery from its hibernation mode. Battery indicator lights should light up. Providing the battery is not fully discharged it should now be usable.

78 Year Old Cyclist Dies in Edinburgh
I came across this scenario last week when a cyclist was cycling contraflow in the cycle lane separated from the traffic by the regulatory dashed painted line. At first I thought the cyclist was on the pavement and only realised that he/she was on the road as we passed. Looked very unsafe and too dangerous for me to ride a bike this way.

Tips for saving money when you still have to use the car :)
The computer can only work with the inputs it is given. My milage from a full tank of diesel will vary in a similar manner to the variance I get from a fully charged e-bike battery. Using the car my milage range is affected by traffic more than the e-bike but weather, ambient temperature, wind including wind resistance and hills can and do reduce my range by up to 40%. Tyre pressure of vehicle makes a fair contribution to fuel consumption whether in a car or on a bike. How the car is driven will also affect fuel milage and longetivity of the vehicle. E-bikes similarly being affected by how they are ridden and looked after. Generally though e-bike is better suited for the shorter journeys in traffic conditions adverse to a car. Having and using an e-bike can help you get more miles per gallon from your car.

The G-Bike
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25951029 Has the e-bike limitations been overcome with the g-bike? The motorised r/c wheelie bins looks to be more practicable.

Bike Recovery
Good to see article on stolen bike. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-25913241 We might not be able to prevent our e-bikes being stolen, but this shows how modifying our bikes in unique permanently visible way increases the chances of getting the bike back.

Brand New Sky
Beach, Looks like a neat and simple product which could be used for lots of applications, it is a shame that it has not worked out. I hope your retirement goes well as I look forward to reading more of your adventures. I'm particularly looking forward to some treasure hunting, hopefully you will post some details on your metal detecting trips?

Brand New Sky
Hi Beach, Interesting to read your posts. The Powabyke Euro looks great as does your location. My first thoughts was your ebike would be equiped to carry your fishing gear and metal detector but then thought that your choice of ebike was so you could adapt it? An ebike with some gravity zero point technology would certainly cause a stir? Looking forward to further postings.

User Titles
Many members log in to see whats new but don't post. It would be better if Pedelec user title took into account time since they initially registered and became active ebikers. There is more to being an active Pedelec member than just frequency of posting.

mobile forum
My phone browser gives me the option to remember passwords so can log in to pedelecs with just selecting the icon on my phone. Typing errors etc. easy to correct after posting by using the edit function. For me this appears to be easier to use than the old site.

New site Homepage. This page should be kept up to date, information on things that are no longer relevant should be replaced e.g. The Cycle Show, NEC Birmingham event September 2013.

New site
Looks promising with text format easier to read when logging in from my smart phone:D. I look forward to see the improvements as they are introduced. There appears to be a problem with screen jumping to top of this thread or to an advert which is rather annoying when typing this response:mad:. Just noticed the draft saved message appear on screen, a useful autosave feature?

My brompton stolen :(
Sorry hear about your Brompton being stolen in Paris. I too think you should contact the police as they have the ability to track the mobile phone. I am presuming the natioality of the thief to be French? Would also be worth giving details to UK police on your return as they could work with Interpol. Heres hoping your Brompton is recovered soon.

Too wet for an e-bike?
Looks like it would be great trail to cycle if it was drier. Given our recent weather, perhaps Flood Biking will become more popular!

The Bike Test.
BBC News - The bike test that shows what we're really like at work Interesting article. Should employers take it up? Would e-cyclists be assessed as cheats?
