I do a weekly shop on my bike, I have 41 litre panniers which fit two sainsbury jute bagfuls, then on the carrier I put a freezer bag and attached it with those elastic bungi straps. Then on the handlebars I have two of the Tesco jute bags they have shorter handles so don't rub on the wheels, which I put light things in. I ride a Technium and Sparta and Gazelle, obviously not at the same time. The Gazelle and Technium are the best as they have a good stand that is stable whilst packing, which does take a bit of time. Hi help appreciated for this problem. When I pull the back brake on my Sparta IOn it makes a clunking noise. When I pull the brake whilst stationary it doesn't. Marina

No you can't buy the same thing anywhere else, the total look is entirely different to others. I went from a normal cycle helmet but felt a plonker wearing it so in the end didn't bother, to a Yakkay which although I wore it, did not feel right and after getting the Casco there was no comparison. The casco makes me feel as if my whole head is protected. The other plus is that it will keep me dry in winter and my ears free of chilblains (which I have suffered from in the past) with the ear protectors. I also did not like the style of the skateboard type Bell helmet which you can get. So for me I think it is well worth the money. Last year my Dr who I had been seeing for 29 years fell while playing tennis and banged his head killing him. So I am more conscious that I should wear one, that is why I am glad that I have come across this one. Marina

I've just purchased one and must say how comfortable it is, also I feel that my whole head is protected. I was using a Yakkay which I have not long bought but I did not feel that it was protecting me, no matter how I adjusted it, it did not feel right. With the peak cover I was always being asked where my horse was, and cycling against the wind it was getting under the peak and trying to lift it. I now feel and look, with the Casco a bit like the old usa chips motorcylists. Marina

Not being very knowledgeable about gears etc. but I think the hub on the Technium is 8 speed it has the yellow dots, but the twist grip is 7. Does this mean that a change of twist grip is all that is needed to become 8 speed. marina

Thanks Paul for your help. Just as I read this post my husband has come upstairs and told me that I had knocked the cable out of the shifter, so you were correct. I had a look last night and could not see anything amiss, probably looking at the brake cable by mistake. Marina

Hi Harry, The twist grip will only turn to N0 6. I am going to take it to my LBS to get fixed. If it can't be then I will email Wiggle. Good job I've got another two bikes to use. Regards Marina

Hi, I was just going to pull out at the lights with a load of cars behind me and I had a job to turn the pedals on my Technium. Once across it seemed the gears were all wrong and I could not get 7th Gear. I managed to cycle home and was able to use some of the gears. Any suggestions as to what went wrong. thanks Marina

Decided to take my bike to the local disability shop who also sell electric bikes. They are more than happy to do the check over and change handlebars which I have just ordered. The chap who does the cycle repairs used to work for the shop that I purchase my Gazelle from ( since ceased trading). marina

I am going to try it for a month as is before deciding on changing. marina

Just found some bars Raleigh North Rounder Trekking Comfort look just what I am after. Am going to contact my local Raleigh shop to have the works done. Marina

Just received my Technium. Nice looking bike although not as well made as my Gazelle but then there is the price difference. I do not like the handlebars and the steering feels a bit on the light side, and the brakes are a bit noisey.] It took me ages to fit the battery on and then when it did go on I didn't see how it went. I will probably take it to my LBS to alter the front forks as well. The bike is nippy and I will see how it goes as to whether I will change the sprockets. Now to try and find some bars similar to my gazelle ones. Marina

Have just bit the bullet and ordered one. Not sure where I am going to keep it as I already have two. I don't drive so like a spare for work just in case. My husband sometimes uses the other. Flecc my current bike in use is an 8 speed Gazelle which I have had the 18 tooth sprocket put on. Will this bike benefit like the gazelle from a mod to the sprocket and if so what size teeth baring in mind that it is 7 speed. Thanks Marina
