Hi,i cannot tell which motor or battery is which? It might be an idea to put the to sets separately to show how they look. What was wrong with one of the units to have had it sent away for repair? Where in the country are you in case someone wants to look at them? George.

I am not an expert but remember something about these batterys have a sleep mode and need to be put back on charge for 5 min?

This looks like a nice bike so i e-mailed him, as the battery is showing 2 lights i asked about its condition and the location of the bike this is his reply, "Hi, The bike is at Germany at the moment and being shipped to Hungary so I'll ship from there. The battery is brand new and the the charge potential of the battery shows 5 lights, ,Kind Regards". So there might be a wait for it, George.

Hi all ,thank you for your quick replys thats great info,as i have a small private workshop of my own next to my house(bridgeport mill,boxford lathe,etc)i am going to try and make a pair. They are actually for a Bremshey Cardio Control excercise bike which i bought for my partener about 2 years ago after she had 2 new hips. she can not turn the pedal arc because of restricted movement. bremshey said they have never been asked for anything that reduces the pedal movement or know of anyone that could help so it has been sitting for 2 years. I now have a few options so thanks again and i will let you know what happens, regards, George.

Both bikes now SOLD, I have for sale a bike fitted with a BIONX kit,the bike is made by a company called concept and is aluminum with zoom tube front suspension, i bought it about 3 years ago and it is in very good condition. Last summer i bought a BIONX kit of off a bike shop which they said had only been used for demonstration and i have the receipt. It works well and is great fun as you can Regen power when you brake or pedal in training mode. The bike comes with lights,centre stand,side stand,panniers,full mudguards,new tyres about a year ago(the tread was to knobbly for road use)selle saddle,front suspension. I have fitted the battery pack in the rear panniers and it hides this very well and looks like a normal bike,the original brackets are used and it can be mounted in the design position on the down tube if needed. It is the p250 version and the battery is holding/showing full charge. It has been regully charged throughout the winter in accordance with the instructions and is believed to be in excellent condition but as always with batteries no one can give a 100% guarantee. I have probably rode about 100 miles on it myself purely for pleasure. I am reducing my electric bikes i have,as i want to own different models and try them out. I want £550 for this which is quite a saving of what it cost me and someone here on this site can have a chance to buy it before i put it on e*ay. I also have a KALKHOFF pro-connect which i also want to sell which was bought on the 23/jul/08 by the previous owner with full receipts. In very good condition and works fine with good battery. I want £750 for this. I will try and put on some pictures of the bikes I am looking for a CYTRONEX next if anyone wants to sell me one,either p/x cash either way or cash in total when these are sold. I am in surrey if anyone want to view. Any questions please ask,i work a lot and may not be able to reply strait away but will do my best. This is a private sale . George. Hi all, i got home about 2 hour ago with the bike,it looks great. The lady selling it said her husband bought it in january this year (2009) and only went around the block once and next day felt unwell,without going into her personal story he never rode it again,so she is having a clear out and only wanted £350. Well ,she could not find the charger but will post it onto me when she finds it(she said her late husband said it works by peddling and did not know it had to be charged). The tyres were almost flat and the battery was in hibernation,as i already have a pro-connect which i bought of one of the members on this forum i had a charger and the battery initially showed 3 bars and is now fully charged, After a few adjustments it looks like a new bike and everything works fine. I could not buy a replacement battery for this price,i will have to think whether to sell one as i cannot ride 2 would 50 cycles give me warranty on this bike? Anyway thanks for reading, George.

Hi Barry Heaven, i recently purchased a used Bionx p250 kit and it does have a small amount of drag,ie if you spin the back wheel of the ground it comes to rest in a few seconds as oposed to it going on for a little while,if that makes sense. The regen is fun to use as when you touch the brakes it puts power back into the battery. I went for a 13 mile ride today and used 50% of the battery on a mixture of hills and flat at setting 4 (which is max power). In use i do not notice any drag when going down hill or on the flat. It can be programed in different ways for power/regen and i like to be able to put some power back when i want to,i prefer this to my Ezee Torque i recently sold, regards, George.

I went down to cytronex in winchester last week and tryed out the ridgeback cyclone and the claud butler urban 500. There is a hill outside which is a good test for the assistance going uphill. They both gave about the same assistance although the claud butler felt easier going up the hill(proberly because it was lighter). A bit tricky at first trying to switch from high to low remembering which is which and making sure the boost light was on. You have to push of and get up to about 4 to 6 mph before the motor kicks in which on a steep hill and rememering to check the red light to the right of the handle bars (which i kept forgetting)is glowing otherwise no assistance. you cannot turn it on and get assistance as required without resetting the boost button as when you touch the rear brake power is cut and you need to reset it by pressing the button again,this is proberly just me getting used to it. out of the 2 bikes my preference was the ridgeback but they are both very good quality bikes. Hi paido,i just checked with cyclepoint and a replacement battery is £395 not £400,this bike can be de-restricted and will make 20+ mph whereas the latest model is pemananly restricted to 15mph. A new one cost £1295 eZee Torq Electric Bicycle | cyclepoint â„¢, even if this needed a new battery £395 +£450 for bike=£845 you will save £450 and have a great bike:) , regards, George.
