  1. Interesting thread learnt quite a lot. I’ve predicted for the 42 T chainring more ware on the ring less on my legs. The bling ring looks like a preferably choice as it covers the motor keeping the chain in line. We will see how it goes .
  2. Great it’s kinda of what I thought but it’s great to get someone that’s used 42T Thanks very much.
  3. I use a 17.5 amp hour battery and can squeeze 90 miles out of it between charges. There a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. Mine came with the kit from Woosh.
  4. I’m thinking about changing my 46T for 42T chainring on my BBSO1. Chainrings available at Brighton Bikes cost £75.00 do you think the difference I will feel is worth the money spent?
  5. It does but I’ve also read that it’s only compatible with the Bbs02 . Here’s a link if you have time to take a look. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173893045178
  6. I’m at work at the moment I’m at work at the moment I have my old shimano deore Crank set although it’s x3 I will attach a picture later I would’ve interested to know if I could utilise it in any way. Thanks for the info.
  7. Hi another question. I’m finding the Bafang C961 takes up a bit to much room in my drop bars. I saw they have Mini display on eBay would it be compatible with the BBS01 250w motor? Is anyone else using it?
  8. Thanks everyone I’ve emailed Brighton ebikes asking them about the lekkie 36 bling ring regarding problems when fitted.
  9. Hi, recently fitted the BBS01 250 W motor to my Surly LHT. Is there any options to change the front chain ring size down to a 36 ? Would like to try that first before changing the cassette if possible. Cheers
  10. Hi everyone so pleased I found this forum. I have recently converted my Surly LHT using a Bafang 250w motor and 17 amp hour battery. Went out for a ride the other day I enjoyed very much. Completed 29 miles with only using only 25% of the battery. I only used it on hills and but certainly helped a lot on the steepest ones. My question is. Now only have one chain ring on the front which is a 42T and 9 speed cassette on the back with the largest wheel having 32T I want to change to a 11 speed 46T Cassette to make things a little easier when not relying on the battery, should the battery get too low on longer rides. I would also need to change to flat bars to give more room and accommodate the shifter. Does anyone have any suggestions on a low budget setup that would do the job.
