I test rode a Synapse Neo and loved it, but due to cost purchased a Boardman with the Fazua motor instead. Big mistake! Although on paper they both have a 250 watt motor the 40 mile hilly commute I intended to use the bike for is still hard going. I wish I'd bought the Neo

I wish I had done the same and not bought a Boardman with the Fazua Evation motor. The Cannondale pulled like a train up hills, whereas the Fazua doesn't provide anywhere near the same level. I might have a Boardman ADV 8.9E for sale shortly.

Hi All, I am hoping someone can help explain why having ridden a Cannondale Synapse Neo SE I am so disappointed with the performance of the Boardman ADV 8.9E that I have just purchased which has the Fazua Evation motor. I test rode the Cannodale and loved how I could back off the power i put into the pedals and in turbo mode it would still pull me up the climbs. The Fazua is the opposite and I am aware that the system is designed like that. 1. So the Cannondale has a 500 watt battery the Fazua a 250 watt. Aside from how long before each charge is that more important than just that? 2. The Fazua has a higher torque than the bosch, so it will accelerate quicker There is obviously, something much more important that I have missed between the 2 systems. Does the Bosch provide many more watts to the motor? Any info would be appreciated as it looks like I am going to have to sell the Boardman as my commute is very hilly and I still arrive at work feeling quite tired. Just for reference, I am a life long cyclist who does around 3-5k miles / year and wouldn't consider myself unfit. Thanks
