  1. I'd suggest sorting out that front wheel puncture first...:D
  2. It was for a Woosh RIO mtb 4 years old- it's a Reention dorado cased battery at 36v ( short variety 390mm) currently 17ah . I notice there are new varieties on sale utilising either A)the 21700 cells or B) a 'Max' case offering 21ah capacity and this sparked my interest. Not buying yet but doing the homework in advance so I can source a replacement when I need. Current preference is buying through Woosh as they have been great in support to date.
  3. Thanks all, summing up, it does sound best I contact the original bike supplier in that case which is actually Woosh. I am not yet in the process of buying a new battery as mine is still going strong after 4 years however I wanted to do some research now in advance. Thanks again all.
  4. Existing bike has a 768Wh battery which is pretty much the largest available on any commercially sold legal e-bike. If range is primary concern, how far are you looking to go on a single charge?
  5. There are a number of posts on here where the knowledgeable point the person to Aliexpress items. When searching there appear to be multiple sellers on Aliexpress selling an appropriate specific battery for my bike. How do I tell which is a decent seller? Many thanks Cheers Graham
  6. What you 'need' is a motorbike.

  8. I have a Woosh RIO mtb with KD58C display that allows a variety of PAS levels. 0-5 , 0-7 , 0-9 etc Default is 0-5 however I have moved to 0-7 to give a more gentle transition between levels. All levels can be programmed as individual % so is fun experimenting. I tend to match the natural speed of each gear pedalling speed spot to align with the speed provided by the PAS level.
  9. A Woosh Gran Camino would seem to fit the bill being fully equipped with powerful motor and 20a controller with a substantial frame mounted carrier for you panniers. I can personally recommend their bikes having bought a Rio MTB in 2020 and a Santana for my wife in 2022. My Rio has a 17ah battery and I regularly travel over 30 miles with plenty of charge left in battery. ( Max distance test was 60miles approx) Their aftermarket support is top notch too https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?gran-camino
  10. My wife has a Santana and loves it. It has a feature to activate the motor and pull away from a standstill gently up to 6kmh(4mph) which she then uses a small pedal rotation which activates a thumb throttle to max speed.
  11. Hi, how did you get on with your proposed 48v upgrade? Was it possible? Cheers from a fellow Woosh Rio user with 3000 miles clocked. They are great little bikes aren't they!
  12. 113 x full charge cycles in 8 years if its 2014 battery. That's about a full charge every 4 weeks approx. How many miles in that period?
  13. there is an emtb forum specifically named as a category on here as such, that's why .
  14. I recall this thread . https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/despair-of-this-bike.41751/
  15. I have always asked the retailer " Can I buy a replacement battery in 4-5 years time and how much would that cost? " . Then see what the answer is.
