  1. the display and holder is connected to the battery cable via a 3 pin cable. Apparently not difficult to remove and steal sadly.
  2. No it a clean steal. They removed the display with the holder, (which is secured with a couple of screws, as well as the saddle and post I have gotten all the parts back now, last one was the display/holder. But the battery is probably in deep sleep, and needs waking up
  3. I purchased a Suntour (Carrera) espec e-bike replacement battery after the original battery and display assembly were stolen. It took me about a year to finally get a replacement (new) Suntour display and holder. Trouble is, when I now connected everything, there does not seem to be power coming to the display. I am not sure why. The battery appears to be fully charged (displays 4 solid bars - but the blue lights also don't stay on (they disappears after a few seconds). Does anyone know how to diagnose the possible issues. I am not sure where to start, and don't have a tone of experience with e-bikes
  4. Hi Guys, I am looking for a used SR Suntour Hesc LCD Digital Display Holder for my bike. Would love to have any info and leads. tony
  5. i know this thread is old, but the idea of soldering cables caught my eyes. Do you mean to use any display out there (Bafang, KT, etc.) and simply look for the right connector?
  6. the Suntour controller (in my ebike, Raleigh Talus) though is inside the downtube frame. Seems a bit of challenge to replace given the tight fitting
  7. I am looking to replace the battery for my 2020 Raleigh Talus electric bike. It uses a SR Suntour Li-Ion Downtube battery (36v 11.6Ah 418Wh). My e-bike was recently vandalized and the battery/display stolen. My research showed that the Suntour branded battery is manufactured by Phylion, which has a similarly rated battery (Phylion sf-06 11.6ah battery - sold by Yose Power. When I read your recent post on Phylion sf-06 11.6ah battery compatibility with Suntour bikes, it occurred to me that mine may well be. But the discharge port/holder (see pictures) is different from the Yose Power battery mentioned on this platform even though both have 6 pins. Any thoughts on their compatibility? I plan to change the battery and holder. Thanks so much for your time - Tony
  8. Hi All, My name is Tony from the San Francisco Bayer area in California. I am avid cyclist, both mountain and road biking and been to a few events in the past few years. I am slowly getting into ebikes now. I recently purchased a new 2020 Raleigh Talus IE ebike (stock picture attached), but someone vandalized it and stole the battery and LED display unit. The battery holder with the keys are still fine. I am looking to replace the battery/display, but the prices are quite steep. I am looking for alternatives to the current battery stock back (36v 11.6Ah and 418Wh). The motor is SR Suntour E25 Performance Rear Hub Brushless DC Motor, 250W (400W max), 60Nm Torque. The current battery is a SR Suntour Li-Ion 410Wh Downtube Mounted, w/Lockset. Here are my questions: 1. Does anyone know the manufacturer of stock battery on the 2020 Raleigh Talus IE Ebike (Shimano, Bosch, etc) Is it possible to replace the current stock battery pack/display with a different brand (such as the hailong/Yosepower or KT systems)? Would there be compatibility issues with the motor/BMS or the dsplay? I found this alternative from Yosepower (https://www.yosepower.com/en/product/Downtube-36V11.6Ah%28429Wh%29-Lithium-E-Bike-Battery-for-Phylion%2FSF-06%2CJOYCUBE%2FJCEB360-11.6-202.html). Any ideas if it can work. Thanks
