  1. I've ordered this one: https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-accessories/bike-locks/kryptolok-standard-u-lock-with-4-foot-kryptoflex-cable-sold-secure-gold-580651.html Hope it's okay, it is a gold sold secure one and I've ordered an alarm also. Now looking for a gps tracker! I really want to be able to go and do a little bit of grocery shopping on my bike but I'm really worried about it getting stolen!
  2. Great review! My 705 arrived on Friday So far I'm really impressed. I am looking for a suitable bike lock but was unsure on the size, I like how you store yours on the rack, I suppose the size isn't an issue after all!
  3. Thank you everyone. Looks like it's down to two now so suspension is what I am thinking about. One has a suspension fork and seat and the other doesn't...
  4. I'm looking at the Wisper 705se, Juicy dutch classic and woosh Santana 3 bikes. I'm really struggling between the three of them, I have never ridden an e bike before and unfortunately with shops being sold out I cannot go and test drive any either. Maybe I should just wait but I am an impatient person..... Anyway one of the things that i would like to ask is about the battery position, the Wisper and Woosh are on the panier and the Juicy is down the back of the seat post. Has anyone had experience with batteries in both positions and is there any benefits in either? Should I be looking to purchase one from a local dealer or one which is sold by local dealers? I have found Wisper and Juicy are sold pretty close by but not Woosh…. I live in the North West between Liverpool and Manchester. Also the warranty's differ between the three, should I take this into consideration? If anyone can give me any more guidance I really would appreciate it. I am open to suggestions of other bikes also. My purchase will be made via the cyclescheme, I have £1000 voucher but I am willing to top up to £100. Not sure if using this voucher limits my options but I have found a local dealer who accepts that scheme. Thanks Sandra

Thanks for this information Nealth, I have wondered what the difference was in the two and which would be best for me....

Oh dear Tarka, glad you didn't get badly injured and fall in. I must admit I don't like it when I have to go around people on the canal side of the towpath for fear of toppling off and in!
  7. Would I be able to order one with my cyclescheme voucher code now or would i have to wait until they are in stock?
  8. I'm looking to get myself my first Pedelec, I've got the Cyclescheme £1000 via work to purchase one with. I'm a 52 year old female, not a big bike rider, got myself a push-bike last year and really enjoy being out on it but do struggle with hills due to respiratory conditions and the bumpy canal towpath have left me with a sore backside for days with my second-hand bike! But I am hoping with a bit of assistance in my bike I will get out and about more and use it when I got into the office. I am quite tall, 5ft 7 with a 33inch inside leg so need a bigger bike frame/wheels. Originally I was looking at the Pendleton Somerby from Halfords, then I found the B'TWIN ELOPS 900 E STEP OVER from Decathlon before I came across this site and found out about some others. From reading posts on here I am now stuck between: 1. Juicy Dutch Style Electric Bicycle - Classic Click, online £1,085.00 2. Woosh The Santana 3 £1,099, Santana-CD £1,099 or Crusa £849 online. 3. Wisper 705 SE Step-Thru 375Wh 26-Inch £1,050.00 from a local dealer who I have just paid a visit and found very unhelpful...... they didn't have any in their showroom. Aesthetically I prefer the Juicy and I have been told they are available in July. Not sure when the others will be available as yet! Ideally, I would prefer to try one out first but in the present circumstances that is proving to be difficult. I went to Decathlon the other day and they had nothing left in store to look at and out local Halfords is click and collect only. I think I would like something with some suspension though and the seat definitely needs to be comfortable..... Thanks for any advice. Sandra
  9. Hi

SanPat posted a topic in Introduce Yourself!
I'm Sandra, 52 years old, from the north-west of England, purchased a second-hand pushbike last summer, hadn't ridden a bike since I was around 14! I got it because I had broken my heel a few months previous and was unable to walk far without limping and being in agony. Although I was nervous at first I soon got those childhood joyful memories back. After going on a long bike ride along the canal towpath with my three daughters a few weeks ago I've decided to get an electric model so I can keep up and go further afield. I do have asthma and a respiratory condition called bronchiectasis which does affect me going uphills on the bike also. I've spent a few days browsing through the forum, which is great, I've gained lots of useful information, perhaps too much as I now have a headache! So I am going to be asking for some advice in my next post. Hopefully, I will have my new Pedelec in the not too far future.
