New !!!Electric bike mag
I'm the publisher and Flecc is correct that I'm trying to find a buyer for the magazine - I'm attempting to retire from publishing in due course. There are some interested parties in the running so I'm hopeful the magazine will continue - it's exciting times for electric bikes - but anyway I'm committed to continue it myself up to at least Issue 10. So still several issues to come. The magazine has always been available to read free online and as a PDF download - you can access all issues to date at: http://www.electricbikemag.co.uk/read.php but I obviously do have to charge (modestly) for print version subscriptions. It's supported mainly by the advertising, and making it free online means it gets read as widely as possible, ditto the reviews. Only log on here occasionally but happened to spot this. Glad you liked the mag Steve!

Scott E-Sportster
That confirms what I heard from Scott at Eurobike: electricbikemag.co.uk::Electric Eurobike 02: Bosch They told me that roll-out to the UK market will be for the 2011/12 season, mainly so that the support system/servicing etc for the Bosch unit can be in place before customers get bikes.

Folding electric bikes are all rubbish... apparently.
Peter from Electric Bike Magazine here... Thanks everyone for the kind words above - and sorry I haven't popped into the forum much recently - it's been a bit busy getting the new mag off the ground. As you'll see here we'll have one of the folding bikes in question reviewed in the first issue

Electric Bike magazine
Sorry not been replying much here - been busy mailing out the latest VV :-) Yup, Velo Vision circulation is similar to A to B's. No doubt circulation would be bigger if we were in WH Smiths etc, possibly even enough to make it worthwhile, but getting onto the shelf is a difficult step for a small publisher. The distribution companies take a lot of margin and then also want considerable amounts of money (five figures last time I looked) up front to 'buy your place' on the shelves. Plus there's a much larger print run to pay for (much of which may end up shredded...). If the new mag really takes off then this may happen in the fullness of time but don't hold your breath! I will try to get it into as many dealers etc as possible, though, and also online in various guises. If all goes to plan I should be announcing it properly via press releases, an announcement on the VV website etc straight after Easter. Almost decided to do it tomorrow, then remembered the date and thought another day might be better :-)

Electric Bike magazine
Thanks everyone for the kind words! Peter Eland here from the soon-to-be-officially-announced Electric Bike magazine :-) Just to answer a few points... - Happy to supply mags to Evans or anyone else! It might happen - but I expect it'll be more the electric bike specialists who will be the first to sign up. - Flecc - would be very interested in any suggestions you have as to reviews/methodology - as you say, the Velo Vision electric bike reviews have not been particularly structured to date. I doubt we'll be able to completely satisfy both the most technically-minded of readers and the newcomers to electric bikes who are the key readership - and testing will also have to be reasonably time-efficient for obvious reasons. I'm sure a compromise will emerge... I guess the aim is to keep it simple and straightforward but also accurate and useful. - I've naturally been in contact with David at A to B before starting the new mag, and I'm confident relations will remain friendly! I hope David will be contributing to the new magazine in due course, too. Finally thanks again for all the encouragement and also for the first two subscriptions :-)
