Large frame suggestions for BBS02 with wider rear wheel.
I am looking for a large MTB 29er/700c non suspension bike frame that can accomodate the BBS02 motor that allows wider tyres at the rear. I am NOT looking for a fat bike but a sturdy hard tail frame that will take a 2.5" tyre or less rear wheel without breaking the bank. New or used. Thanks for any advice/help. I am 6 foot and 224 pounds/101 kilos/16 stone. Thanks in advance, Jem.

Hope someone can help, I am looking for a front mounted hub motor with disc mount, either 26" or 29er (no legal restrictions and unassisted if need be, looking for torque up to 25mph), controller/battery and thumb control. Need to cover 20 miles daily on our site 365 so reliability and a UK supplier/support would be appreciated but not a deal breaker... handy with solder if need be on seperate components. Thanks for any suggestions, J. ps mounted in a Surly Karate Monkey 29er steel front fork with disc mounts

Anyone tried magic shine lights?
Sadly I have four of the 21 LED front light and all stopped working for various reasons, but all down to poor quality. Clicky switch on rear is poor, all leds badly soldered to connections etc and cant be swapped to another as spares. Unless you want a cheap light for a couple of months, who knows if they ever get wet (mine didnt).

Mercedes-Benz Hybrid Electric Bike (battery woes)
Charger to battery box connector Thanks flecc regarding motor maintenance.. I need to get the other end of this connector to glue within the battery box, can anyone tell what there called as "3 pin standard connector" brings up many when Googled. Can anyone recommend better connectors for both ends that may be suited to a flush battery box surface with waterproofing in mind, thanks.

Injecting 24v Thanks flecc, didnt want to buy a battery pack and charger only to find the motor defunct.... should a low mileage motor, left in a dry environment, deteriate over 10 years? There seems alot of belts spinning etc . Anything I should do/grease/clean before injecting 24v after such a time? Thanks

Mercedes-Benz Hybrid Electric Bike (battery woes)
Testing motor with less volts? Would it be possible to use one 12 volt battery, just to see if it spins, could this damage the motor using less volts? Thanks

Mercedes-Benz Hybrid Electric Bike (battery woes)
Thanks flecc Is there an easy way to check the motor and batteries before spending money on a new battery pack and charger?, Im assuming/guessing the Ni-Cads are defunct after 10 years despite 1 or 2 charges, but cant tell without a charger to test both. Thanks for any replies.

Mercedes-Benz Hybrid Electric Bike (battery woes)
Thanks Blew It and Flecc Thanks Bob for deciphering, does anyone know if the the thermistor is attached to the battery cells or amongst the wiring in the battery housing. Would it say on it what type it is? Thanks Flecc for the heads up and appreciate the charger info (although most went way over my head) .

Mercedes-Benz Hybrid Electric Bike (battery woes)
Hi Guys I would like to get this bike going again but have no charger, what would be the best way (and cheapest) to do it. I would like to retain the battery case as its quite neat when fitted. I need to cover 10 miles daily to work and back...any advice greatly appreciated by a newbie http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4129/5047998683_b1b059da0e_z.jpg Battery 20 cells (look like D cell size) 24 volts 5Amps (can this be improved to increase performance?) A chauffeur friend asked me if I wanted an old bike he had been asked to clear, left under the stairs of his wealthy client for ten years. The story is that his son did 2 laps of Hyde Park on it and stored it under said stairs. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4132/5047987857_e1383c82a7_z.jpg There seems to be very little info on the web regarding this bike, I believe its a 250 watt Sanyo motor, the handlebars have a 3 speed twist grip with the cable entering the rear hub. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4103/5048641834_320a7c49c1_z.jpg From what I have found, these Hybrids seem to have been sold at Mercedes-Benz dealerships only, for about $2000, circa 2000ish, any further info much appreciated.
