  1. I'm going to repeat the selflearning once more to try and prove issue. However if everything else works then either way it shouldnt be a problem. That said I'm not sure the pos is working and may be related?? (All temp. connections on a folding bike and no proper stand plus weight , difficult to control.) On issue with brakes I think I understand your expert knowledge so can I interpret this by reasoning I shouldnt have the Black return leg of the brake switch at ground potential as its acting as a sw wire. But still need a 5v feed to the White.? Hope I'm getting close to sealing up and enjoying the ride again. Jackho
  2. Yes 2 black and white wires connected in parallel. Brake sensors confirmed as working N.O. closed when applied. White line +5v. Maybe the clue is the voltage collapses with brakes applied. 5v taken from LED light supply. The self learning are Green and identified on pin out connections at controller.
  3. I am not an expert but will offer some opinions if it helps (also because others on this site have been so helpful and me give something back). From my limited experience all the controllers are very similar but dimensions are important to check out. If you have your controller removed check like images with Amazon , Ebay and compare connections and ratings eg voltage and power ratings . You might find they all have similar configuration except for connectors (which is not a major issue). This might at least get you started . Jackho
  4. After replacing controller I followed the Self learning routine , the motor rotated in the right direction and i disconnected the two wires. i continued to connect the remaining wiring. When powered up everything was dead. Eventually i got back to reconnecting the learning wires and all was good. disconnecting again was same result so I reconnected and everything worked so kept. Buttoned everything up and went on a test run to find brakes wouldn't disengage the motor. everything else worked ok. Am I right in thinking the controller is still in some form of test mode that is bypassing the brake interlock , also not sure if peddle assist in some way affects this function (only color that didn't match R,Bk,G to R,Bk,Bl ) (brake wiring and testing is ok)!! Any hints where the problem might lay or how to "reset"? the controller. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Have fitted new controller and is working , but only when self learning connection is maintained. Is this a problem.? Have yet to connect brakes and dont have 5v on brake connection. Do i have to take a 5v supply from say throttle? (almost there after many hours of soldering with a folding bike in two halfs)
  6. See previous post. Finally got a replacement controller for Elise ebike after a guy before me crossed over the wiring on a new throttle control. Can anyone help me identify the connections from the pinout pic. The ones I am unsure about are Aux.Power, Help Plug, Low level line, and Twisted wire . I assume the 3 speed plug is the twist throttle , not sure about the Meter plug but maybe feed to on off sw. and supply to R,O, G battery level . I believe the Learning plug is to reverse direction. Happy with rest of connections and have lots of soldering already done on replacement but don't want to risk any guess work with the remaining connections. Probable aware I won't need them all for the basic model i have. Any additional help will be much appreciated. Jackho Attachments Joykk pinout.jpg

  8. Thank you folks for your help. Have sent photo with the Charger interface for your comment. Have ordered a lookalike controller via Amazon but long delivery time so can read up while i wait.
  9. Great info. Could i ask about the battery charging wires. i don't see them mentioned on any connections but assume they have to be included.
  10. Many thanks for your reply . The message sent prematurely but you got the drift anyway. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08N9JQ7L8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A154N4BPYYFVJK&psc=1 I have copy link for "closest" look alike for any comment. With thanks jackho
  11. Best guess wear and tear. Was failing randomally and fed WD40 until eventually failed completely. Attempted dismantling as per web but couldnt release throttle twist grip and ended up breaking apart.
