Happy Birthday
My Kudos Typhoon is 5 years old today. It's still doing the business and still getting me up hills faster than others. My Kudos Tourer will be 8 years old in July. It must be time for another bike, suerly.

Street legal
The easy way to find it will be when you ride it. If it goes over 15.5 mph with the motor still working then it's de-restricted. On my bike you could also change the wheel size setting so it could go faster but still only show 15.5 mph. I guess you'd know if that's happened to yours as it feels faster than 15.5 mph

Website update
I think it's horrendous. There was nothing wrong with the old layout.

Brexit, for once some facts.
If the EU said that. Most of us up here would definitely vote to leave. )

Brexit, for once some facts.
If we had 27 unmarried royals, we could marry one to every country left in the EU. Mrs. May would then have an easy job.

Brexit, for once some facts.
Are there any unmarried royals who could get wed and have a right royal wedding? That would take our mind off it.

Atera Strada E-bike towball mounted rack
When putting it on, hold the rear end and as you lower the lever, gently raise the rear of the carrier and see if it finds a sweet spot that allows the lever to go down fully. I own a Thule and if the rack isn't sitting at the correct angle to the towbar the lever won't go down. Jim

Aye, and none of them are straight.

Brexit, for once some facts.
It's a good idea but it wouldn't work. You're asking the proletariat to make 2 important decisions at the same time. There was a woman in the audience of Question Time once who said she'd been undecided about the referendum right up until the night before it. Then she thought "straight bananas" and voted leave. You couldn't ask that poor lady to make 2 decisions at the same time. Strangely though, no one asked her if she'd ever actually seen a straight banana.

Brexit, for once some facts.
The answer on whether to have another brexit referendum or not, is to have a referendum on whether to have another brexit referendum or not. Then the second brexit referendum will happen or not happen, depending on the will of the people. It's simple really.

Brexit, for once some facts.
We'd probably use the pound in the interim. I'd campaign for us to adopt the rouble. That would really annoy Mrs May. As to the EU. There were people up here campaigning for independence last time based on the fact that they wanted out of the EU and David Cameron had said that's what would happen if we left the UK. As my old granny used to say, "there's nowt as queer as folk."

Brexit, for once some facts.
A lot of us up here want a second referendum as well. We'll worry about a second brexit referendum after that.

Broken chain.
The only real problem was in starting off. Turning the pedals doesn't move the bike until the motor cuts in. A thumb throttle like the one on the Typhoon would have started the bike moving whilst allowing me to start turning the pedals.

Broken chain.
Out on the Tourer today and the chain snapped 4 miles from home. Now, to me this wasn't a problem. However to the woman walking past, she thought I was in trouble. It's OK I said, I'll get home, it's only 4 miles. So, I picked up the chain and stuck it in my bag. The look on her face when I climbed on the bike and started turning the pedals was priceless. The look on her face when the bike started moving and carried me off was even better. Luckily the road is flattish with only slight slopes which are about 5% gradient according to my VDO thingy. Once out of Linlithgow and onto the countryside part of the trip, I thought I'd better use the footpath and not cause problems on a busy fast road. I needn't have bothered. The Tourer spent most of the trip at about 14mph and only dropped to about 10mph on the slopes. Obviously on the down slopes it went faster. The Tourer is over 7 years old and the chain is probably 4 years old. Time for a new one I think. New chain or new bike. HMMMM decisions decisions. This is the reason why I like hub motors with PAS sensors.

Well you know I'm going to have to try those two now, don't you?

Brexit, for once some facts.
By far the best tea bag in the pot would be, Bewley's Irish breakfast. I'm just hoping brexit doesn't increase the price of them much.

Things I didn't know......and confusion.
So you prefer the Irish stuff do you?

Brexit, for once some facts.
I think you meant 'celebrations' instead of 'ructions'

Brexit, for once some facts.
The majority of people in Britain don't care if Northern Ireland joins Eire or just floats off into the Atlantic. Either would save us a load of problems.
