Wisper Tailwind
I stopped trying to find a solution ages ago!!! I really do not think it is possible. I'm resigned to the fact that I can only 15.5 mph, motor assisted. I have done a max' of 27mph under my own steam, downhill, with the wind behind me . Unfortunately, the drivetrain wasn't up to the task and the BB and freehub have failed. If you're really not happy at 15.5mph. I would consider trying something else. All the best !!! Mark

Never used a jet wash on any of my bikes- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
I have had the wheel off this evening and the noise that I am hearing is coming from the freehub. Any tips on how this can be removed ?- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
My attention was drawn to ithe hub noise after the bottom bracket collapsed and I had to change it. Chain alignment and gear change is fine, the noise can be heard during freewheeling.- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
There is a slight grinding/gnarly noise from the hub wilst rotating. I have tried to upload a clip but my file does not have an allowed extension, haven't got a clue what that means- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
Yeh, thought so. Just wanted to know the method of access to the bearing.- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
I have completed 2,900 miles. I have already had to change the bottom bracket, which makes me concerned about the rear hub bearings.- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
Sounds to me like the bearings are running dry and wondering if there is something I can do to service the hub. I have had the cassette off and given it a clean and lube. I would like to know how to get the freehub off to give that a clean and lube.- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
Thanks David, it would be good to get you opinion.!!- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
Hello again David, Thanks for your reply. It may just be me but I feel it is not running as smoothly as before. I have attached a couple of photos of the motor. Unfortunately, I have unable to upload a video to give you a better idea of how it sounds. Regards Mark- Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
Hi All, Is there anyone who had had experience in servicing the rear hub on a Wisper Tailwind and possibly explain how it is done? Thanks in advance- Wisper Tailwind

I'm enjoying the ride anyway, so I think I'll get over it . Save the speed for the gravel bike !!!- Wisper Tailwind
True- Wisper Tailwind
I didn't know there I didn't know thee was a statutory 10% tolerance... even that would do me, I'm not after anything above 20mph really- Wisper Tailwind
Totally agree, a big turn off me !!- Wisper Tailwind
Thanks Flecc, I appreciate your time. I understand that I could have sourced a faster alternative but I had to buy the bike through C2W, it was the only way the wife would sanction it. So I ened up going for an 'off the shelf' bike.- Wisper Tailwind
I can box off my commute in 30mins on my gravel bike but need a shower when I get in. Thats the reason why I got a pedelec, no effort, no stress, save money !- Wisper Tailwind
Hi David, Many thanks for the info'!! I totally get it regarding the reasons for the increased weight but to be honest, I don't find it a problem. I would rather have the convenience of a removeable battery. You have been spot on with the styling as well, got a lot of people in work asking about it. Very happy with my purchase and no gripes whatsoever!! All the best Mark- Wisper Tailwind
Anyone know a way of increasing the assisted speed limit on a Tailwind. Only after a couple of extra Mph just to trim my commute time.- Wisper Tailwind
I have just read the data on the rack and it's 18kg - Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings
