  1. Hi everyone. Just wanted to thank you for the help. Managed to get the swagtron working again. Issue was the display. Problem is that the en06 display and controller these bikes use are customized. This is why I couldn't get any other screen to work with the controller. Luckily, found an ebay seller who has surplus parts from the brand since they went out of business. If you try to access the display menu options, you can only dim the screen and change units from miles to km. Nothing else since it is blocked.
  2. For the motor, the controller has a female 9 pin julet connector which makes it difficult for me to fully insert the multimeter probes since the space is really tight.
  3. It has the 9 pin julet connector. I am trying to get an adapter to separate each pin individually so I can test them since they are too close to each other. I got a hold of a dealer on ebay that sells spare parts for this swagtron bike and he pointed out something interesting. There is no error code e10 on that bike. Supposedly if there is a problem with the motor, the display lights up an icon telling you there is an issue. If there were no comma, it would be another icon so I am guessing this display sent me is not compatible either with the controller. I'll see if I can order the 9 pin adapter and the tester to clear out any issues with the motor. Thanks for all the help provided.
  4. Ok noticed something strange. So I changed to another controller i bought thinking it was a controller issue, shorted the red and blue wire for the display connector on it and got a red flashing light on the controller. It flashes 10 times and then off and cycles again 10 flashes. Connector went all the way in till the mark. My guess is something is wrong with the wiring inside the motor? I am thinking of ordering an ebike tester to see if it is a faulty hall sensor, or maybe the entire connector is loose or broken. Thanks for all the help.
  5. I tried pushing it in hard but I only hear like a click, not sure if I need to press it even harder with some pliers because it will not go all the way till the marker reaches the edge
  6. I tried to push it in as hard I could go but does the line need to touch the female connector edge?
  7. I tried that but nothing happened so I am guessing it is an issue with the motor. They replaced a flat tire at a bike shop but I am not sure if they damaged the wiring.
  8. Hi. I tested the voltage and got 4.83 V so I don't know what else could be the issue. Ordered a new display with the 5s protocol and got the same error e10 code
  9. I'll check the voltage but the display does turn on. What happens is that I get an error 10 code nor any speed readings. the original display wouldn't even turn on at all. It failed after 6 months of use. So the new one does turn on but receives no speed feedback and has the error code.
  10. Hi Saneagle. Thanks for the reply. I did that to troubleshoot the display. Only power to the controller and the LCD. Tried it with an identical spare controller I had ordered thinking the issue was my original controller. Got the same e10 error so I am thinking it could be an issue with the display being comms protocol no. 2 and not being compatible with both controllers. Trying to see if the guy at AliExpress that sold me the spare controller can tell me what communication protocol I require for it.
  11. Hi everyone. Thanks for the forum. Saying hi from the other side of the lake here in Panama, Central America. Trying to figure out an e10 error with a folding ebike bought from Amazon in the US. The company shutdown about a year ago so not much info available around.
  12. Hi Steve. I am having a similar issue with a folding ebike I bought from Amazon (swagtron). The display stopped working so I ordered a similar one en06 display hoping it would be plug and play but reading at your post I think there might be an issue with the comms protocol. My controller is a Dongguan Jing hui controller but there is no info about in on the internet. I ordered a replacement one from AliExpress thinking it was my controller that broke but had the same issue with the original display. Not turning on at all so I ordered the replacement screen and I get an e10 error code on both controllers using the same "new" display which uses UART No. 2 protocol. Shall I try a 5S protocol display to see if that solves my comms issue? When I do the pedal assist it would kick in later even though the display shows the error so I am guessing the motor still works.
