Izip 'Trekking Enlightened' *WARNING*
Izip Trekking Battery Replacement on Cycle to Work Scheme Copy of email sent to Cycle to Work Scheme. "Purchased a Izip Trekking via cycle to work scheme 18 months ago from the Atmospere Cycles Bulkington (Coventry) shop, the battery is now only giving 1.5 miles per charge. I have telephoned the Bulkington shop a number of times over the last few days alas no reply, I telephoned Bristol yesterday 7/12/11 and was surprised to be told that the battery is no longer available but Bulkington will be in contact with me after 4pm, need I say no phone call and today no answer from Bulkington, even Bristol is on voicemail ! Since this was purchased on the cycle to work scheme I have paid about £750 for a bike that is still not mine for 3 years under the new customs and excise ruling, it would appear I am left with a bike I cannot use, cannot part exchange and £750 out of pocket."

Ezee Liv Battery Indicator Query
I purchased an Ezee Liv last February and up to the middle of September was attaining about 8-10 miles before the battery indicator turned orange from green, today it is only about 2 miles. Can anyone suggest what approximate distances between the green, orange and red indicators are, or a percentage of battery charge between the 3 colours please. I have of course emailed this question to both 50 Cycles and Cyclepoint 2 weeks ago but have yet to recieve a reply.

Sale of Goods Act Under the Sale of Goods act, the retailer who sold you the goods NOT the manufacturer is responsible for replacements/repairs under guarantee. Should the retailer fail to honor the act you are quite within your rights to take the retailer to the small claims court and ask for redress. Making a Claim Making a claim If someone owes you money and you cannot settle things in any other way, you may decide to issue a claim through the county court. People also issue claims for other reasons, including: bad workmanship; damage to their property; road traffic accidents; personal injury; goods not supplied; and faulty goods County courts deal with all these types of claim. You will sometimes hear people talk about the 'small claims court'. What they really mean is the special procedure for handling smaller claims in a county court. Going to court should always be the last resort. There are now a number of other ways of sorting out complaints, disputes and legal problems without court action, including arbitration, mediation and ombudsmen schemes These are often called alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes. Court rules require you to think about whether alternative dispute resolution is a better way to reach an agreement before going to court. Some claims can be made online using Money Claim Online There are time restrictions for issuing claims. If you have delayed issuing proceedings for any reason, you may wish to seek legal advice before issuing your claim. If you wish to proceed with a claim, or wish to defend a claim the following leaflets are available: Stage 1: How to make a claim Making a claim? Some questions to ask yourself (Leaflet EX301) How to make a claim (Leaflet EX302) Debt recovery for businesses (Leaflet EX350) Stage 2: The defendant's response A claim has been made against me - What should I do? (Leaflet EX303) No reply to my claim form - what should I do? (Leaflet EX304) The defendant disputes all or part of my claim (Leaflet EX306) The defendant admits my claim - I claimed a fixed amount of money (Leaflet EX309) The defendant admits my claim - I did not claim a fixed amount of money (Leaflet EX308) Stage 3: Allocation to case track The small claims track (Leaflet EX307) The fast track and the multi track (Leaflet EX305)

eZee / Phylion Li+ battery / Forum
Gesture now convinces me This gesture now convinces me that I will be definitely be ordering an Ezee Liv from 50 Cycles in January via the "Cycle to Work Scheme" because of what seems to be superb after-sales customer service, which after requesting information or speaking to various suppliers seems to be lacking in this marketplace.

Battery ?
I wonder if any of you experienced cyclists could help me please. I have purchased a used bicycle similar in every respect to this bike. [http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HIGHQUALITY-STANDARD-CYCLE-DESIGN-ELECTRIC-BIKE-BICYCLE_W0QQitemZ130178551795QQihZ003QQcategoryZ33503QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem[/url] After about one mile of both pedal assisted and unassisted power there is a smell of electrical burning eminating from the on/off key area (top) of the battery. The battery casing does not apperar to be getting even warm and has charged ok, it does not seem to be losing capacity quickly, infact it is holding it's charge longer than I anticipated. Whilst cycling the battery seems to provide enough power both on the straight and up hills. I am assuming it is a 3x12v battery as it is very heavy. I am a total novice so any advise would be apperciated.
