Hi John, I checked the map, there were two people near me, one hasn't posted since 2011, the other 2014. I'm just looking for like minded people that want to drift along, get fit, have a coffee along the way, that sort of thing. just have to keep looking

Hi and thanks for the reply. I've got an ezee sprint bike, I'm just after someone to ride around on the local cycle tracks and some roads. Just to potter around with really. After comments from other people when I've been out and about I'm not sure about taking it where there's none ebikers, something to think about tho. Pea

Does anyone know how to go about finding cycling partners in my area? I've looked all over the Internet and Facebook but I can't seem to find cycling partners that use ebikes, I do see the odd lone ecyclist out and about, I tend to see them when I'm driving tho. Pea.
  9. As you know I've got the sprint and I'm about 5ft2/5ft3 and I'm finding it fine for size
  10. That's what she says, lol!
  11. This morning I was getting ready to head off to work, my daughter decided she'd cycle along with me. Off we go, there's a long road that goes up and up forever, so, I'm sailing up this never ending hill, I glanced back, no sign of my daughter. I pulled in at a bus stop, I was wondering if I should go back when I saw the top of her head, followed by a sweating red face, as she came puffing up the hill she said that I'm too fast on my bike, lol! She turned back a bit further along the road and I breezed into work, lol. The downside is, she told me when I got home that rides together are out of the question if I use my ebike, lol. She jogs, cycles and goes to the gym, yet her old mum has beaten her hands down
  12. There's an article on the home page about a family that ditched their car, they have momentum bikes with a seat on the rear and even a one on the front.
  13. I bought fleece gloves with grippers on from sports direct for £1.99
  14. I find my helmet to be great for protecting my head against the ever increasing overhanging branches on the local cycle paths.
  15. I'm surprised he hasn't had his head knocked off to be honest!
  16. This isn't about a mtb ride but a sky ride, I fancied giving a sky ride a try, someone that goes on a lot of the sky rides told me that my ezee wouldn't be allowed, so I emailed sky ride to find out. I never heard back from them so I guess he must be right. As there are so few ebikes around it's highly unlikely that I'll get to ride with others, it's a shame really because at the end of the day it's all about enjoying the whole experience of cycling.
  17. I've got a kryptonite D lock, a massive kryptonite chain that weighs an absolute tonne and the bike came with an axa lock fitted on it. Hopefully that lot should put anyone off! Other than at work I try not to leave the bike too long if I can't see it.
  18. Those graphics are going to haunt me;)
  19. I read somewhere that it's best to use two different type of locks, so I bought a D lock and a massive chain, now I've got two good locks that just about drag me on my back when I've got them in the backpack cause they weigh an absolute tonne! Two locks confuse me never mind a thief, sorting all the keys out is a nightmare, especially if it's raining
  20. Thanks for that, that is actually a brilliant idea
  21. Thanks for that, I'll have to go and look that up

The other thing to remember is you'll get you're batteries free from the NHS, they aren't cheap to buy. Pea
  23. Off topic, but what size basket is that? I might get one to take my dog with me from time to time, mind you he was at the vets the other week and she called him " chunk" Pea
