  1. Thanks for all the replies. What I'm after is something to record journeys too and from work, I'm coming across an increasing number of idiots out there, and that doesn't include me! Can you turn the sound off them? Listening to me huffing and puffing is going to amuse my daughter no end! And I'd be somewhat embarrassed to listen to what I've been saying, lol! Pea
  2. On my helmet it will record what I see so I'm thinking that's going to be better. I look daft to start with so a camera stuck on the top is going to be like the icing on the cake really, lol!
  3. I've been reading the thread started by corpusluteum about cameras and it's got me thinking about getting one. Does anyone have any recommendations? My laptop is slowly but surely dying so I'm after something that can be used with an ipad, I suppose it's going to have to have wifi or bluetooth, being idiot proof is a must! Pea
  4. My ezee came with an axa bike lock, it's the first time I've come across these locks, it's a really good idea, I'm impressed with it, they'd have to be pretty determined to take my bike with that locked on the rear wheel! Lol. I use a D lock as well. Pea
  5. Love the colour but I'm in love with those pannier bags
  6. Thanks for the replies,
  7. I've now managed to narrow down my search for a bike from the hundreds out there to just a few, that has taken some doing in itself One of the bikes I'm looking at has the battery behind the seat post, this makes the bike three inches longer than a normal bike, I'd be interested to know, off anyone thats got one, if this had made any difference to the handling of the bike or not? Pea
  8. Thanks for that, when I emailed woosh about the sirocco they said the seat post couldn't come down any further because of the battery rack,so I didn't really look at the sport ones thinking they'd be the same, only now that I've looked at them I've realised they're bottle batteries so the post will go down further
  9. Yes but what it says is the 26 wheels for 5ft3 riders but further down says 26 wheels suitable for riders 5ft 5. It's got me a bit confused, not that that takes much doing, Just noticed that the sport says for riders 5ft5, would changing the seat post actually bring that down?
  10. Hi thanks for that. I've emailed woosh to try and find out if the bike would be suitable, on one hand it says....... We have two wheel sizes, standard 26" wheels to suit riders between 5ft3 to 6ft and larger CDL 28" wheels for taller riders, 5ft10 upwards. Further down the page it says......... 18″ frame, 26″ wheels, suitable for average riders (5′ 5″ to 6′) Pea
  11. The two I'm looking at are the woosh sant-ana cd and cyclotricity Sahara.
  12. I'm wondering if keeping the myka as it is and getting a bike all ready just to go for work would be the better option. Seen three I like, one has a 20 inch frame so that's ruled that one out, have to see if I can find any reviews on the other two. Bikes for folk with short legs seem to be in short supply
  13. Thanks for the link. Because there's not a hope in hell of me fitting the kit and if £150 is the rate to fit one I'm starting to wonder if getting an ebike is going to be the easiest route.
  14. Thanks for that, I'll use that to check the sizes. I'm thinking that a rack battery is probably going to be best for the bike. They never asked what bike the kit was for to be honest. Pea
  15. One of the bikes I looked at on there was the sirocco, I'm 5ft 2 so it's the height of the crossbar that's a problem.
  16. It's a specilized myka, it's only a 15 inch frame tho
  17. The kits the oxygen one, I actually don't think the bottle battery will fit on the bike I have. I had thought they had more than one kit, they could do for all I know, that's the kit they've mentioned in the email. I'm looking at a cyclotricity and a woosh bike. I'm thinking that I'd be better off spending the money on a new bike rather than £950 on a kit.
  18. The email just said to supply and fit the kit it would be £949, the kit is £800. I'm starting to swing towards leaving this bike as it is and buying a new bike. I've got my eye on a couple Pea
  19. I've been quoted £150, just seemed a bit steep to be honest.
  20. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what the average cost of fitting a kit would be? Pea
  21. Hi, thanks for that, have sent them an email,
  22. Hi and thanks for the reply. I had thought of buying the kit then getting someone to fit it, but I've decided it would make more sense to find someone near at hand that knows what they're doing and can make sure the kit I choose is actually going to fit the bike. Repairing a puncture ii a major achievement for me Pea.
  23. Thanks for that, have sent them an email
  24. Thanks for the replies, sorry about the location, I'm just outside Newcastle upon Tyne. Pea
