  1. Surely you are in Credible!
  2. I haven't encountered any other e-bikers, although there is an ancient e-bike which is often parked outside the local Sainsbury's. I must confess that I often stop pedalling when I pass bikes, so that they cannot here my somewhat noisy Kahlkoff's motor! Most other cyclists, including lycarists acknowledge my wave - except for the cycle clubbers.
  3. I wonder which part of her anatomy its going to hit first. Hope it's not her calf!
  4. Didn't Wallace get there first in Wallace & Gromit's "The Wrong Trousers"? Anyway, it's not for me, the powers that be would probably limit it to 25kph!
  5. Like call centres, how about moving our prison service abroad - say India? I'm sure that would be a cheaper option, and we need only pay a one way fare for the crims!
  6. It's a pity that the guilty parties couldn't be sinbinned for let's say a month, rather than be given the death penalty. I, like many, thought Eddieo was out of order on numerous occasions, but equally valued many of his contributions. As for Indalo, I will miss his humorous threads - off topic maybe, but some had me rofl. R.I.P.
  7. The hill in question is 15%, which is quite steep! Her problem is not so much being in the wrong gear, but not having the confidence to make that first slow push of the pedal and "trust the motor will kick in" Once she gets going, she's fine even with this steep gradient - it [the Kahlkoff C8 Impulse] is an impressive hill-climber. However, I just feel that it's wrong to state that the impulse provides instant power, when in fact you have to pedal a half revolution for that power to cut in.
  8. Sorry to disagree, but the two Agattu C8 Impulses that I bought at the beginning of November definitely have a time-lag before the motor assists. As a result, if we stop on a hill, my wife has to set off sideways to get going
  9. I live in Shropshire near river Severn which floods regularly. It turns a river into a mile wide lake at least once a year! Follow Flecc's advice re valleys and you won't go wrong.
  10. Please could you add me: Cressage, Shropshire SY5 6
  11. Now you tell us... Rats... I've just ordered 2 Agattu C8 Impulses from the Loughborough branch. Still the 15% discount sold it for me, as well as the 0% 12 months interest.
  12. My wife and I have finally taken the plunge and ordered 2 Kahlkoff Agattu C8 Impulse bikes from 50Cycles. I've spent tens of hours scouring the internet for reviews and information, not least from this great forum, and finally visited 50cycles at Loughborough yesterday to view and try the bikes. They seemed to be just what we were after. We decided to go electric after my wife had a hip operation about 10 weeks ago. She made a swift recovery and we managed to cycle about 50 miles in Italy a week or so ago, but she struggled on the hills (as did I!). Can't wait to receive our bikes and will post again with our initial experiences. BTW do you guys still use your non-electric bikes or just sell them?
