  1. Hi all. This is an odd one. I was walking my dogs near Finedon in Northamptonshire and found a bike battery in the field. It's some Chinese generic thing but how someone can lose a bike battery is beyond me. It still has power. Just thought I would post on here on the unlikely event the owner is a member. Here is some pics
  2. Oh no. It's only on kickstarter. Sir Clive Sinclair's career really did peak in 1982.
  3. The folding bike they actually sell looks more interesting. For £299 I would get one on c2w out of impulse.
  4. You will have hydraulic brakes I assume, and they are new so a big bladed flat screwdriver used carefully should separate the pads enough to get the brake disc back in. Don't force anything or you will damage the pads, Failing that, I'm sure that if you take the bike to even a halfords they will fix it for a minimal cost. The pedals tighten up so that the rotation of the pedals that is the opposite of the crank cannot loosen them.
  5. How often do you have to empty the dust box? Doing the stairs will be murder even with pedal assist.
  6. Thanks. They made me grin like a loon when I fitted them. They are Mucky Nutz bar ends and you fit any bottle tops you want. Once they have taken a beating you drink a couple of beers and replace them. I plan to abuse the heck out of em!.. often!
  7. Here are my pedals. Very bling and they are a secure platform for my feet. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/IMG_20150808_175308_zpssaf4ff8i.jpg A very comfy saddle http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/IMG_20150808_174609_zpsmgphzikd.jpg The bike http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/IMG_20150808_175403_zpsy3uduiwy.jpg My modified handlebars. Ritchey grips that remove all road buzz and fancy bar ends. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/IMG_20150808_175944_zpsivr1y7jw.jpg
  8. I love the look of brookes saddles but I find Charge Spoon saddles very comfy even for my fat arse. And you can get some cool designs. I have a winter camo one on my Cube and a Hi vis green one on my Voodoo Bizango.
  9. After 130 miles my Cube developed a creak when exerting a lot of torque so I made sure the pedals were tight and decided to take it back to the shop very early for its 8 week service. I didn't bother booking it in as I expected to leave it there but the mechanic had a quick look and a while later brought the bike back to me. The screws holding the motor assembly together had come a bit loose. He said it was only a quarter turn but he used some threadlock and sorted it out. I'm glad Leisure lakes have people knowledgable about their E bikes and I'm glad I took no notice of people who told me not to worry about the noise and keep using the bike. It's a nice day today so I went for a 30 mile ride once I got home and the bike simply makes cycling more fun. Thrashing along gravel and grass trails at speeds that would normally knacker me out is awesome and no hill bothers me anymore. This bike is the best 2 grand I have spent in a long while.
  10. Only if I give it some firm whack like Soundwave said. Perhaps it will get easier. I will use the velcro led elastic thing shown in one of the pics just in case.
  11. I had to remove the battery for the photo shoot and it took less time to get it in this time so maybe it's just the knack I need. It's still not what I would expect from German engineering.
  12. Hopefully I can adjust some bits but I am loathed to loosen anything without some guidence
  13. Good point. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/Mobile%20Uploads/20150715_203045_zpsvumnlhte.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/Mobile%20Uploads/20150715_202929_zpsj6v8i1eq.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/Zombie_donkey/Mobile%20Uploads/20150715_202913_zps8az0tzxj.jpg
  14. You will not regret it. I had to take the front wheel off to get it in my car and was shocked at how light it was. Your getting good quality components and I'm not surprised it's selling out. I bumped into a chap who was bringing his cube Ebike in for a service today and he was a very happy chap. I would have talked to him more but the staff were all over the place because it was so busy and I was being pulled from pillar to post.
