Just think of the poor sod who would have had to clean her off the train. Get the old karcha out.
2. Yes I've seen those padlocks you can also get a dlock bike version only trouble is don't you have to be quick when you undo it as the alarm will go off, knowing me I'm all fingers and thumbs and panic.
3. Hi guys has anyone tried fitting one of these mobility scooter, moter bike alarms to their ebike just seen them on amazon about £20 can be hard wired to battery not sure if possible on an ebike though or just use with 9v pp3 battery. They even come with a remote control to arm and disarm.
4. Hi I've just fitted one of their kits LCD monitor and pannier battery onto my hybrid bike got about 27 miles on the first charge don't tend to use the throttle as much as I thought I would so glad I went for the pedal assist. Make sure your forks are wide enough for the motor including the drop outs cyclotricity can send you the sizes of their motor. Was harder to fit than I thought but I don't know much about bikes managed to brake the bottom braket washer. The it adds about 6 kg to your bike something to bear in mind if you have to lift the bike or go through turn styles so far I am pleased with the kit
5. Well I've taken the plunge and have fitted a cyclotricity kit. Did not want a whole new bike when I've got a good bike allready. Went for the pedal assist with LCD and pannier battery. Had a few problems fitting I.e had to make the forks wider file the drop outs deeper busted the bottom braket lock washer only plastic so had to get a whole new bottom bracket so what I thought would take a weekend has taken 3 weekends and a lot of back and fourth to the bike shop. With the LCD pedal assist you can ajust what speed the motor cuts out at I.e factory preset is 15 MPH I've managed to do it so it doesn't cut out until 19mph won't go any higher though but pritty good though.the pannier battery is good as you can hide it under a pannier bag done 25miles and the battery is reading half full.
6. cyclotricity kit Well I went with the cyclotricity with pannier battery and lcd pedal assist just tried it out and it goes like a rocket got 19 MPH on the flat and nice fast acceleration. Had a few problems with fitting, the fork drop outs had to be made deeper and forks wider. Broke the plastic locking washer on the bottom braket when fiting the pedal assist so had to get a whole new bottom braket. The good thing with the pannier battery is you can hide it with a pannier bag and fit a padlock to the battery handle and the rack to stop it getting Niked. The motor is noisier than I thought it would be but hopefuly once it wears in it will be better. But as a whole I'm glad that ive gone the kit route.
7. I have finnaly decided to get an ebike conversion kit and was wandering which one is the best out of the 8 fun and the cyclotricity. the 8 fun is cheaper with bottle battery £420 plus p&p cyclotricty £500. I have spread my forks to 125mm at drop outs, 110mm at the actual fork but they tapper in anyone know the diameter and clearance of the motor.
8. I'm having same problem with my forks too narrow a local bike shop said why don't you just widen the forks yourself and he got some old ones stood on one fork then pulled the other, so I went home and did the same so my forks are now 110mm but need to know the dimensions of the motor 8 fun or cyclotricty as the forks tapper in. How far up the fork does it need to be 100mm to clear the motor.
9. Hi guys just been looking on eBay and saw this claud butler e-freeway for sale its made by claud butler and cyclotricity £669.00 looks a real nice bike very temped looks nicer than there revolver bike which i was thinking of geting.do like this style of bike over mountain bike so nice to ride. What do you guys think.
10. Hi has anyone got the erolling 250 folding webike looks like a nice bike only £500 not sure what there bikes are like like most in this price range are Chinese imports but so long as they are well made that's not a problem after all look at the amount of bikes they use over there and isn't allmost every thing made in china now from apple Ipads to jaguar cars.
11. What's the gearing like on these folding bikes I've read its very low. Like the idea of a folder .
12. Is this a fake post or something identical to amazon review but under a different name was thinking of getting one of these bikes but if they put these fake reviews out if it is fake then their bikes must be well rubbish.
13. How you getting on with the e voyager thinking of getting one is it too heavy, how does it handle and build quality.
14. Hi I'm thinking of getting a e-bike for leisure on mostly flat roads dirt tracks and maybe some steep stuff latter on and was wandering if anyone has any thoughts are has got one of the following bikes Pro rider e voyager has some good reviews and is made in dusseldof Germany. Woosh sport not sure got some good reviews but it does look a bit on the ugly side and what their build quilt is like not sure. And then there's the cyclotricity revolver nice and lite but has a thumb throttle so sounds like they have skimped on the equipment though these get good reviews too and its better looking than the woosh. Any ideas or ulternitives in the £550-£650 price range.
15. Hi I'm now wandering about an 8 fun convertion kit which I could put on my specialized hybrid not sure how hard these are but a front wheel motor one should be straight forward enough.
16. Hi I'm thinking of getting a folding e-bike don't want to spend loads like the look of the byocycle city speed which is the same as the byocycle chameleon just £535 instead of £799 but ive read in a review that the motor is a bit noisy also like the look of the woosh zephyr but no reviews for this bike. Also are this style of e-bike nice for riding around on throtle only, on the woosh manual it recommends using the throttle on full power sparingly not all the time which kind of defeats the point of getting a e-bike for me not sure if this is to make the battery go further or to stop the motor from burning out or if this is the same for all e-bikes. If anyone has any thoughts on these bikes or any others in this price range £500 would be grateful cheers.
