Rip kmx Finally sold this machine. It was a lot of fun, got me back into regular cycling, got me into e biking and even in the end financed a 2nd hand ebike for my better half. But it was also a pain in the bum.

Is the 16Ah definitely an upgrade to the 15Ah? The owner of my local bike shop reckons they are standard fit for 10/12Ah. I'd bet you are better informed but just wondered if you had a source for this info?

I have one in my flyer and I love it. There is the occasional issue when shift from 7th to 8th which is well documented but otherwise I think it is an amazing bit of kit. Not sure I really need all the gears on an e bike though. Think I don't use lower than 4th gear.

So today I went to work on my flyer, for the first time in about 2 months, and used the 18ah battery I have borrowed. First thing was that it was a bit of a squeeze to get it in place on the bike. It does go in but no where near as smoothly as the original. The second thing I noticed was only four lights came on I thought I had fully charged it but seemingly not. With this in mind and given there was half an inch of snow on the ground the ride in wasn't much of a test. I had to switch to standard assist and the journey was slow but this is no fault of the battery. As soon as I got to work at 9:15 I put the battery on to charge. When I left sometime between 16:30 and 17:00 it had only just put all five lights to lit solid. My understanding is it is not fully charged till the lights go off. The journey home was far more impressive full power all the way and still two bars lit, this with new winter studded tyres fitted rather than the supplied marathon supremes. For me the real question is do I go for an 18ah or supplement my 10ah with either a 10 or 12 ah and swap mid journey.

Fair enough but it looks like fun and well designed to me and it's an ebike so it gets my vote this year.

But can you pedal it tilson? I maybe confused but it looks like petrol bike.

Chap at the shop has given me a loan of an 18ah battery for next week. I will give it a go and let you know my thoughts.

I think he was telling me both the 18 and 16 were backwardly compatible with the 10am battery.

Went in to the bike shop round the corner where I bought my flyer and saw he had a couple of Raleigh Dovers, one with an 18ah battery on it. I asked him about it and he seemed to express some reservations about it and recommended me to wait for the 16 ah panasonic which he said didn't require an upgrade to use a bike set up for 8-10ah batteries. Just one caveat is that this was a conversion in Swiss german which I dint really understand so I may have misinterpreted it.

Allen I couldn't agree more plus I think it always good to have a backup incase one light fails. I actually ride with five lights on my bike. The front and rear the bike came with, a smart super flash and now also the front and rear magic shine. I don't have a front flashing light though. Maybe I will use the knog light I use on my brompton.

The problem for me was that they don't sell the rear light without battery which geoman does. I also have heard good reports about geoman and the lights were dispatched the next day and took six days to arrive from the US to here In Switzerland.

Only had two chances to use them so far but they have been great. The rear leaves are large glow on the ground behind me and the front I have been using mostly on the lowest setting but on full it's bright enough to make me not want to use it unless there is no oncoming traffic. Fortunately having the control on the handle bars makes it easy to dip your lights quickly when needed.

ELFEi Umbausatz Hinterrad ELFEi Hinterradmotor Umbausatz. Pedelecnachrüstsatz kaufen I was looking at this to replace the chain drive motor on my kmx. Any opinions? Will it do the job? Are there any issues other than cable length I need to consider.

My front and rear magicshines arrived yesterday. I ordered from geoman gear in th US. Haven't fired them up yet as I need a us adapter but they look good quality and are pleasingly small. Hopefully be able to give a ride report tomorrow.
