Replacing 7 years old Freego Eagle
After a "road incident" the time has come to retire my Eagle and look for a replacement. I have been very happy with the Eagle though it is quite heavy and I assume that there have been improvements since mine came off the production line. I use the bike for short journeys (10-15 miles max) on urban roads so I am not looking for anything with off-road capabilities. My budget is up-to £2000, but having a 16Ah battery which is only eighteen months old is a factor in my considerations.

This Eagle won't fly
Before I was so rudely interrupted! I've checked the throttle voltage and that's fine. When I twisted the throttle the rear wheel did move slightly.

Hi d8veh, The batteries work with my wife's Eagle. Power is getting to the three speed output selector. The LEDs come on and the front light works too.

Freego battery Replacement
Anyone had fun and games with the new Eagle battery fittings not quite matching the old one? When I spend £500 on a battery I don't expect to have to start bodging and drilling to get things to fit.

I have a three-years'-old FG Eagle. The bike has decided to stop working. The battery is fine but when there is no power to the motor when you pedal or use the throttle. The power output selector was replaced only six months ago and appears to be working correctly. Before I take the bike into the nearest agent I'd like to see if I can troubleshoot for myself.

Wiring up lights to ebike battery - any tips?
I don't want to appear dim but that thread, to me, seems to be more about front lights.

- Wiring up lights to ebike battery - any tips?
OK I don't want to get involved in any home "home brew" lighting soultions. I have a 6 mile daily commute on a Freego Eagle. I want to be able to hook-up an additional rear light to the huge battery I have under my saddle so that I can have something really eye catching in traffic. Any products on the market that don't involve building from scratch? - Wiring up lights to ebike battery - any tips?
