  1. All sorted. I measured the battery outout at the bullet connectors & it was 3Vdc Took the battery off & it was 40Vdc, put it back on the bike & the voltage at the bullet connectors was 40Vdc & the controller powers fine
  2. Hi, After the winter break, I went to check the battery on my bike (it was about 75% a month or so ago) but the system won't power. I thought it may be a flat battery so charged it but still no joy. The main connections are clean & shiny so I was wondering if anyone can shed any light or suggest some fault finding techniques. Thx!
  3. Just seen this via a friend on FB. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/sondors-electric-bike Looks interesting apart from the potential shipping!
  4. I'm a bit late to the party but if like mine, you can't use the bolt to hold the tool in place, a G-clamp does the trick, just remember not to wind it up hard & to loosen it off slightly as it moves! I had to remove the last BB with a 4' pole!
  5. With drifting! One for Twinkle perhaps??
  6. You can get replacement studs. Schwalbe UK sent me a handful & I got a pack of Nokian footwear studs http://www.jmcaleer.com/index.php?p=product&id=641&parent=63 Fitting is easy, wet the stud/tyre & use a pair of fine nose pliers to get them in.
  7. it changes all posts including historic.
  8. Changed it to something more bike related
  9. It was from Movember last year. The aviators were an idea from the marketing manager!
  10. a) What was he fined for exactly? b) Certain rules in the Highway Code are legal requirements and are identified by the words ‘must’ or ‘must not’. In these cases, the rules also include references to the corresponding legislation. Offenders may be cautioned, given license penalty points, fined, banned from driving, or imprisoned, depending on the severity of the offence. Although failure to comply with the other rules would not, in itself, cause a person to be prosecuted, the Highway Code may be used in court under the Road Traffic Act to establish liability. These include advisory rules with wording ‘should’ and ‘should not’ or ‘do’ and ‘do not’. In general, only the latest official printed version of the Highway Code should used but in legal proceedings, whether civil or criminal, the version current at the time of the incident would apply.
  11. Cyclists aren't required to stick to the speed limit as it's for motorised vehicles. Cyclists can be prosecuted for “cycling furiously” or “wanton and furious riding.” The reason Jeremy Vine was stopped is because there's speed limits in the royal parks. Let's face it, you know if you're cycling at just above walking pace or hammering past pedestrians.
  12. Well, it's fitted & tidied enough to test. It goes very well on the brief test up & down the road. I need to get some larger cable ties tomorrow & properly tidy it up. I also need to find the larger rubber inserts for my Hope Vision1 as it's not going to be fitted in the centre on this bike.
  13. After 3 months I have a 350W BBS01. The service from Hattie/Woosh was outstanding. Despite Tesco blocking my credit card & delaying everything, she still managed to get it delivered for the weekend. I've just spent an hour fitting it & it's mostly done, I just need to tidy the cables & fit the speed sensor. The hardest part was getting the grips off the bars so I could fit the throttle & brake levers. I'll finish the tidying etc & get some pics up over the weekend.
  14. I would say suspension related such as the anti-roll bar bushes. or wishbone bushes.
  15. Looks great! I would seriously consider fitting torque arms though such as these http://www.cyclezee.com/cyclezee-torque-plates.html
