My wife just isn't using her Santana, even although it's such a good bike to ride. So, I thought that I would take it on one of my continental jaunts but feel that an all white step through doesn't fully reflect my macho character (oh yeah?).

Anyway, painting the bike is probably a bit of overkill but I've heard abouvt vinyl wraps which are cheap and easy to apply. Anyone know anything about this? Bear in mind that I'm actually rubbish at most diy.

Something like this?

I personally would go for a similar macho wrap as in the video

Wow what a great idea for us white Santana owners! (Is Woosh the only ebike seller not to decorate their bikes with transfers?)

Where do you get this stuff from?

I happen to ride a white step through Tonaro Esprit, I am a 51 year old male, your implication being.... :):):)

Hit Ebay and buy a few car skull stickers, something subtle like this http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mtsm1F4xrw3QtZ0S5BFF6Wg.jpg

Just google vinyl bicycle wrap

Don't forget the Retroreflective!

It's getting later earlier these days :-) So don't forget some retroreflective.

It can be cut into 'interesting' shapes, unfortunately won't go round double curves, but if tube is straight, you can use a transparent background sticker as a template. Then just wet it and tube with little water and slide into place ;-)

I'm on the case - feel my create juices flowing. Is there a cycle artist on this forum?

One of the larger motorcycle covers should do the trick. These can be picked up cheaply.

You may however need to cut a small hole in it so you see where you are going. Added bonus of staying dry when raining.

Hi,

I have been asked by my wife if she can change the colour of her bike and I have just been in touch with a company in Huntingdon. They have quoted me £210.00 +vat for a plain colour wrap, they also do fancy colours i.e. graduated and even heat colour change.

If I take this up I will give feed back for you.

There web site is http://www.wrapyourmotor.com

You could always get Tim Westwood round to 'pimp your ride'......

That's if you could put up with that intensely annoying white boy 'Jamockney' accent without punching his lights out.

Considering the wrap is usually £10-20 on ebay that seems crazy money. It goes by the name of helicopter wrap/tape usually.

Depends what you want, a scrappy DIY job or the professional job. Just remember you get what you pay for in this life.

Yeah make sure to spend £2 more and get the 3M tapes from ebay, the company above don't use the 3M stuff pros use.
