March 14, 201511 yr I just treated myself to an sj4000 video cam. I`ve been into photography for most of my adult life so am not easily pleased with IQ from most cams. I must say that I am impressed with the video performance on the bike and in the car. OK, it`s not anything like my Canon 5dmk3 as far as video goes but for what you use it for it does a great job. Couple with Adobe Photoshop CC and you can produce some really decent footage. Q. I`ve only had it for a few days, I set it up near our bird feeding platform and set it to record on movement, it worked OK but i know that it didn`t capture everything that was moving and at times there were a number of collared doves feeding for 5 mins and there were only a few short clips recorded. I`m wondering if the movement recording feature is maybe in some way linked to the self timer settings. anyone using the camera can advise? BTW this is the genuine camera and not one of the cheaper copies. thanks
March 14, 201511 yr I'd love to be able to advise, but I'm only just starting to grasp using the camera my self. Perhaps looking at technomoans review of the camera on Youtube might help. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=&oq=technomoan&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4MXGB_enGB510GB510&q=techmoan+sj4000&gs_l=hp..1.0i10l5.0.0.3.1985636...........0.KSi1MDw8GBg#q=techmoan+sj4000&safe=off&tbm=vid .
