July 25, 20169 yr it depends in what mode you are in and how fast you are going but in turbo you might get 22-30 miles on the flat.
July 25, 20169 yr thats how far they got with that dongle fitted they should be able to do it but email them first as its just software. i cant see the point tho as 35mph is fast enough with 3.2 even if you could peddle fast enough the batt will be dead in 8 miles going 50 mph. you will also need a massive front gear to get up to that speed.
July 25, 20169 yr https://www.badassebikes.com/en/badass-box/yamaha/typ3-4-yamaha/a-116/ the main reason i use a dongle is i ride with super fit riders and if i cut out at 15mph id be left for dust as they can average 20mph on the flat. with the dongle i can get 28 miles and avg 25mph on and off.
July 25, 20169 yr you can try them for 3 months and send it back if you dont like it for a full refund. mine is 3.3 but the 3.4 has new case and extra 1000 km batt life.
July 25, 20169 yr Yes I see that on the website, do you have to turn it on or off? Or is it just on all the time?
July 25, 20169 yr no it turns its self on as soon as it picks up the magnet on the wheel. thats how they got it to get better batt life. a new batt is 6 quid every 6000km.
July 25, 20169 yr Think it may be the way to go, it's a pain when the motor cuts out at 15mph I don't ride that fast most of the time but it will be nice to have a bit extra speed when I want it.
July 25, 20169 yr id have never bought the bike if i could not lift the limit as i wanted a sclass haibike but dont put that motor on fs bikes. so dongle was the only way. best bit is you can use lower assist mode and not have it cut out and get more range from the batt. dongle cut out on mine is 35.5 mph but with 16t on front limited to 30mph with the gears i have.
July 25, 20169 yr Sounds good, and I see there are a few different kinds on the market and they all look about the same price
July 25, 20169 yr yes but all the others will need to be fitted inside the motor to work, with the badd ass one can be removed in seconds and bike back to normal after you put the magnet back in the right place. this was from last year and batt was flat at end 400w. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/necromunger666/20150818_1901031.jpg

July 25, 20169 yr This ride was in my neck of the woods, and I did see you have to drop the motor to fit.
July 25, 20169 yr 4 hours and 54km / 33.5 miles. Amazing! you want to try hang on for that long round that place for 4 hrs on a 21kg bike fkn hard work tbh.
July 25, 20169 yr id up the rear rotor to a 203mm if you want to roll round there at speed mind why i changed mine from the stock rotors. i got a cheap 203 rotor for that ride and looked like it had been in a fire after lol i now have hope floating rotors
