February 1, 20179 yr Hi Anyone on here have the pear tune fitted on there bike, and if so is it any good? Thanks Steve
February 1, 20179 yr Hi Steve, I've got it installed on my Haibike with the Yamaha motor. I've been using it for several months now and it works great. It was very easy to install. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

February 1, 20179 yr Author Thanks for the info jkz, any probs with the display and do you turn it on and off with the light switch?
February 1, 20179 yr The display works normally. It reads the correct speed. Yes, it turns on/off with the light switch. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
February 1, 20179 yr Dave it's not for me it's for a mate, wink wink. We had one forum member who boasted on the forum about his go-faster dongle. Then, when he needed a warranty repair, the dealer, who reads the forum, told him that he had invalidated the warranty with the dongle.
February 1, 20179 yr been asking that since i joined he will not reply to the question as no other dealer will honer the warranty if a dongle has been fitted. tho as the dealer cant tell if one has been used or not its best not to post on here that you have one tho at the end off the day you are just using the motor as it was designed for. i have never had a problem motor or batt wise.
February 1, 20179 yr Author Well I got my bike from him so I will just ask him and then go from there
February 1, 20179 yr it will be his dongle you will have to fit tho and there 150 quid i doubt he will let you keep the warranty and fit a 3rd party one.
February 1, 20179 yr he might not also let you fit it and then that gets expensive with the trip to the shop as well. tho it is simple enough to do it ur self just see what he says
February 1, 20179 yr its up to you tbh but i doubt you will have any problems easy option is a badd ass dongle like i have that just slides over the sensor. that way you dont even need to open the motor case just the speed will be half on the lcd. these days i dont even bother to look at it tbh. the difference with a dongle is night and day it will be like a different bike
February 1, 20179 yr the difference with a dongle is night and day it will be like a different bike Sinner repent ye! It does sound very tempting though doesn't it?
February 1, 20179 yr I have that dongle fitted by Martin, very happy no issues (touch wood). i suspect Martin would simply remove dongle and claim against Bosch as they won't know. Other option, you just remove it if you need to claim against Bosch. Either way dongle i have assist's to 31mph, but now hearing of some dongles that assist into +40mph?
February 1, 20179 yr Sorry, when i mean safe. I'm reasonably sensible on bike knowing what speed i can go and where, also my bikes brakes etc can handle +25mph, but +40 hmmmmm
February 1, 20179 yr the faster you go the less it will assist but still pull full power these things were never meant for out right speed. you might get it to 40 with a massive front sprocket 20t plus but thats not going to help you up a hill so you have to think off speed how far you want to go and any hills you have to climb. the asa dongles also show the right speed. http://ebiketuning.com/ebiketuning/asa-espeed.html and stick this on it http://www.pro-cycling-golla.de/images/artikel/artikel55d0af7254fc4_1.jpg
February 1, 20179 yr Thanks, i've got a 18t on front (haibike one). The connex type one above i've tried 18t and it was so close to casing the chain damaged the motor case.
February 1, 20179 yr i had the same sort of problem with them as well with a 19t one as it was so thin but with that you should be fine as its 25t and it is massive. i found when i used it i could feel the motor grinding in some gears so sold it. i now have the dual kit so have 18t and 15t Edited February 1, 20179 yr by soundwave
February 2, 20179 yr Nice bike!. You use the 15t, as i've got a 42t cassette the 18t at front seems more than enough for steepest stuff. Also, did you say you had a dongle fitted?. I do, max 31mph. Looking at ASA, peartune and RS, but only looking as they seem to offer even further speed assist.
February 2, 20179 yr i have sram 11 spd so 10-42 and with the 18t can get near the cut off speed off 35mph with the badass dongle but max effort required. for climbing hills you want a smaller sprocket at the front just going back down you spin out as why most come with 14-18t sprockets it just depends what you want the bike for gearing wise.
